A petition was filed in the Allahabad HC against the CLAT 2026 results. The petitioner alleged that the consortium did not consider his objections in the CLAT 2026 final answer key. He objected that Question no 9 of Booklet C has two correct options, options B and D. The expert committee also found the petitioner’s objection valid, but it was not considered. The Consortium of National Law Universities has postponed the release of CLAT UG 2026 third merit list. They released the provisional CLAT 2026 answer key on December 10, 2025 at its official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CLAT answer key 2026 is released in two phases: provisional answer key and final answer key. The CLAT 2026 provisional answer key can be useful for verifying answers, calculating your estimated score, and predicting your rank with accuracy. The authorities have opened the CLAT 2026 objection window along with the provisional answer key, where candidates will have the opportunity to challenge objections against the answer key.
The correction window for CLAT 2026 has been opened from 5:15 pm on December 10, 2025. The last date to raise objections against the provisional CLAT answer key is December 12, 2025, until 5:00 pm. Additionally, the authorities have reduced theCLAT 2026 objection fee from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 500. Later, the CLAT final answer key 2026 will be released after all objections submitted against the provisional answers have been reviewed and addressed. The final answer key determines the actual marks, percentile and rank.

As per the CLAT exam pattern, for every correct answer, candidates are awarded 1 mark, while for every incorrect answer and every double-marked answer, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. Also, there is no negative marking for unanswered questions. Therefore, if the candidate answered 100 questions, and 90 were correct while 10 were incorrect, then the candidate's CLAT score would be calculated as given in the table below.

After the release of the provisional answer key for CLAT 2026, aspirants now have the opportunity to raise objections till December 12, 2025. Where they can log in to their accounts to raise any objections. The objection fee has been reduced from Rs. 1,000 to Rs 500 for each question.

Click on submit objections
Select the desired question booklet set and the type of objection
Enter the objection details and specify the question number
Click on submit
Click on the ‘make payment’ option and pay the objection fee.
The consortium will release the set-wise CLAT final answer key 2026 shortly after considering all valid objections.
