The Bar Council of India (BCI) announced the AIBE 19 results 2024 on March 21, 2024. Following the release of AIBE 19 results, the scorecard link has been activated on allindiabarexamination.com to download the results. Candidates who have appeared in the All India Bar Examination 19 and successfully passed it will be issued the Certificate of Practice (COP) to become an advocate and practice law in India. The council has mandated all lawyers to obtain the AIBE CoP within two years of provisional enrollment. The process to obtain AIBE 19 CoP starts as soon as a person enrols with their respective state bar council on a provisional basis.
The COP is a legal license necessary to represent clients in any Indian court. It must be noted that the AIBE CoP is mandatory for candidates who have obtained their law degree from 2009-10 onwards. Candidates can also download the AIBE certificate PDF from the official AIBE app- AIBESCOPE app on Android and iOS phones. However, the online CoP is only for reference purposes for any subsequent corrections in the actual CoP. The online AIBE 19 CoP is non-printable and non-downloadable. The online Certificate of Practice does not hold any validity. Candidates who will clear the All India Bar Examination by scoring above the AIBE 19 cut-off will be able to receive the AIBE 19 CoP from their respective State Bar Councils. AIBE 19 was held on December 22, 2024.
To be eligible to obtain the CoP, candidates must clear the bar exam. The passing marks in AIBE 19 are determined as per the AIBE 19 cutoff. Candidates from the general and OBC categories must secure 45% marks and SC and ST categories must obtain 40% marks. The AIBE passing marks changes as per the questions withdrawn in the AIBE final answer key but the cutoff percentage remains the same. The All India Bar Examination is a qualifying exam, and those who score above the passing marks will be considered to have cleared the exam and be eligible for CoP.
Category | Passing percentage | Passing Marks |
General/ OBC | 45% | 45 out of 100 |
SC /ST | 40% | 40 out of 100 |
The Bar Council of India will release the CoP after the announcement of the AIBE 19 results. Following the release of the result, candidates will be able to get their digital version of their CoP through the All India Bar Examination app. The online CoP serves a specific purpose, like filing the request to correct details like name, father's name, and enrollment number. It also allows candidates to cross-check their details given by the respective State Bar Councils. Candidates can’t print or download the online CoPs, as they can only be viewed on the app. Find out the steps to collect the AIBE 19 CoP:
First, candidates will need to register themselves with their respective State Bar Council.
Once the candidates are enrolled, they can apply for the AIBE exam online. The process includes filling out the form and submitting it on the official website of AIBE.
Candidates will have to appear for the AIBE exam on the scheduled date. After appearing in the bar exam, candidates will have to achieve the required cutoff to qualify.
Once the candidate clears the bar exam, then they can check the AIBE CoP from the website of BCI or the All India Bar Examination app. In case of any incorrect information in the CoP, candidates can notify the authority for the changes. Later, candidates will get a notification from the registered post confirming their enrollment in BCI.
After getting the notification in hand, candidates can visit the respective State Bar Council to collect their Certificate of Practice. This AIBE CoP unlocks your legal career and allows you to represent clients in any court across the country.
After the AIBE results are declared, the BCI will issue a Certificate of Practice to candidates who successfully cleared the exam. The process of issuing the AIBE CoP is mentioned below:
First, the Bar Council of India will upload an online CoP or dummy CoP on the All India Bar Examination app.
Candidates can check their online AIBE CoP and request corrections to details like their name, father's name, and enrollment number. However, the online AIBE CoP is not downloadable or printable and is not valid.
In case of any discrepancy in CoP, candidates can notify BCI and get the details corrected.
After rectifying the details in the online CoP, the BCI will start issuing a physical copy of the Certificate of Practice.
BCI will dispatch a copy of the CoP to the respective State Bar Councils (SBC) where the candidates are enrolled. The candidates can then collect it in person from the State Bar Council.
On Question asked by student community
Hello, Here is a clear and simple breakdown of who is eligible for the AIBE 20 (All India Bar Examination).
To be eligible for AIBE 20, you essentially need to have completed two main steps after your schooling:
In short, the only people who can apply for AIBE 20 are those who have already graduated with a law degree and have also officially registered themselves as advocates with a State Bar Council.
Hello dear candidate,
the previous year question papers and last ten years question paper for AIBE exam is given in the link given below:-

I hope you find this helpful.
Thank you.
Whether or not signing your full name instead of your signature on the AIBE 19 answer booklet's self-declaration form would result in disqualification is uncertain. It depends on the specific rules and regulations of the AIBE examination and how strictly they are enforced, you can also check the official website or contact the concerned authorities.
Hello,
If you forgot to mention the booklet code in your AIBE 2024 application, follow these steps:
Act promptly to avoid complications.
Hope it helps !
If you forgot to mention your booklet set code and other details on your AIBE 2024 exam OMR sheet while filling the rest of the information correctly, your exam may not be evaluated properly, and you could potentially face a delay in your results or even have your exam invalidated; however, there might still be a chance to rectify the situation.
Since AIBE exam is OMR based paper and is checked by using a specialized scanner called an "OMR scanner" which reads the darkened bubbles on the sheet, interpreting them as answers, and then comparing them to the answer key to generate a score - essentially, the machine "reads" the marks made on the paper to determine the correct answers, all through a process called Optical Mark Recognition (OMR). If it doesn't recognise your booklet code there are chances that it could not process your answer on code basis.
Reach out to the Bar Council of India (BCI) as soon as possible through their official website or helpline number. Explain the situation clearly, mentioning that you filled in all the details correctly except for the booklet set code and other missing information.
If possible, try to attach a scanned copy of your OMR sheet where you can highlight the correctly filled details and the missing booklet set code.
Hope it is helpful to you!!!
