Top law institutions like Government Law College Mumbai and ILS Law College Pune maintain opening percentiles of 100.00. In recent years, the closing percentile for MH CET 3-year LLB admissions at these colleges has not dropped below 99.07. This trend continues across both Maharashtra State (MS) Male and Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) Male open-category cutoffs. Other leading law colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Nashik also record high cutoffs because of limited seats and strong demand through MH CET law counselling.
The MH CET 3-Year LLB 2026 result is expected to be released by the end of May 2026. Candidates should analyse previous years’ opening and closing percentile trends to shortlist colleges and prepare a strong choice list for the upcoming CAP counselling rounds.

Candidates need a percentile above 99 to secure admission in the first CAP round at GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune. KC Law College, DES Law College Pune, Yashwantrao Chavan Law College and other top Mumbai-Pune colleges also close at very high percentiles. Even colleges closing between 93 and 96 percentile remain highly competitive because thousands of candidates compete for a limited number of seats through the MH CET 3-year LLB CAP process every year.

Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates are allotted seats through a separate quota in MH CET 3-year LLB counselling. The OMS closing percentile at top MH CET law colleges, such as GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune, remains above 99 percentile. However, the gap becomes wider in mid-tier colleges where OMS candidates can secure admission at relatively lower percentiles compared to Maharashtra State candidates. Several Pune-based law colleges also record lower OMS cut-offs due to fewer applicants competing under the OMS quota.

The previous year's MH CET 3-year LLB cut-offs show that top colleges maintain stable percentile ranges every year. Minor fluctuations of 0.5 to 1.5 percentiles usually happen because of exam difficulty level, normalisation process, seat availability and counselling preferences.
Several factors determine the MH CET 3-year LLB percentile during CAP counselling:
Total number of candidates appearing in the MH CET law exam
Difficulty level of different exam shifts
MH CET law normalisation process
Reservation category and seat matrix
Number of available seats in participating colleges
Candidate preference filling during MH CET CAP rounds
Vacancy movement in later counselling rounds
Cut-offs generally reduce slightly in rounds 2 and 3 due to seat upgradation and vacant seats. Therefore, candidates should participate in all MH CET law counselling rounds even if they do not secure their preferred college initially.
