OMS is clearly more competitive at the top than MH,

The MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 round 1 cutoff clearly states that nearly a quarter of OMS-quota colleges (33 of 131, or 25%) require candidates to have a 90+ percentile. Whereas, for MH state candidates, about 1 in 10 colleges require candidates to score in the 90+ percentile to secure admission in round 1. This is mainly due to the smaller pool of candidates in the OMS candidates compared to the Maharashtra State Candidates.

The "elite seven" rule the MH CET 5-year LLB CAP Cutoffs

Like previous years, Government Law College, ILS Law College Pune, Adv. Balasaheb Apte, RIZVI, SVKM's Pravin Gandhi, DES Navalmal Firodia, and University of Mumbai Law Academy are the clear dominators when it comes to cutoffs. These colleges appear in both >95 percentile lists, confirming these are the genuinely top-tier and nationally competitive picks regardless of quota. For years, these colleges have been the most preferred MH CET 5-year LLB colleges.
