The MH CET Law CAP counselling 2025 is over for both 3 and 5-year LLB. Candidates still seeking admission in top law colleges in Maharashtra do have a last chance for admission. The MH CET 5-year LLB institute-level admission round 2025 began on September 13, 2025. The MH CET 5-year LLB institute-level round for ACAP seats will be conducted by colleges independently on the basis of merit. The MH CET 5-year Law institute level merit list will be published on September 17, and candidates will be able to seek admissions to the participating colleges from September 18 to 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, the MH CET 3-year LLB Institute Level round 2025 for ACAP seats will begin from September 15, 2025, with the display of vacant seats. Candidates seeking admission through the MH CET 3-year LLB Institute Level round 2025 must fill in fresh college preferences from September 16 to 18, 2025. The common merit list for the Institute Level round for MH CET 3-year LLB 2025 will be published on September 20, 2025, and the cutoff date for admissions is September 25, 2025.

The following list of candidates is eligible for MH CET Law Institute Level counselling 2025 for ACAP seats:
All candidates who had registered for the CAP rounds were not given admission in the three CAP rounds.
Candidates who were given admission in rounds 1 to 3 but have cancelled their admissions through the college login.
In case such candidates cancel their admission, their seat will be forfeited and will not be given to the candidates again in case they fail to get admission in the institute-level round.
The following guidelines will be followed by the colleges while giving admission to candidates in the MH CET Law 2025 Institute Level counselling for ACAP seats:
Participating Colleges will give admission to candidates based on the system-generated merit list after taking into account the availability of seats.
After document verification, admitted candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000.
The college choice selection link will be available through the candidate login, and they must enter fresh choices for the institute-level counselling round.
To select their college choices, candidates must navigate to the “Apply for institutional round” option, then click on “Select Colleges” to enter their preferred colleges.
Candidates can make changes in their college selections during the institute-level counselling rounds.
At first, candidates will be given admission in their selected quota.
In case colleges do not find candidates for a given category, then colleges can admit candidates from the inter-se merit list for all categories.
Apart from the category, the quota can also be converted if no candidates are available in a specific quota (MS or OMS).

Here are some helpful guidelines for candidates participating in the Institute Level round:
Candidates must make sure they correct any details in case there is a mistake in the CAP registration details.
College options entered in round III will not be considered for the Institute Level counselling.
Candidates must enter fresh college choices for this round of counselling.
All admissions in this round shall be given based on the system-generated merit list.
The institutes must intimate candidates about the process of admission through SMS and email.
Candidates can seek admission for any vacant seat in each college on the CAP portal.
Candidates must check their merit position for their selected college individually and then decide according to their merit list.
Each college will have a separate merit list based on the preferences entered by the candidate.
If NRI/OCI, PIO, or OMS category candidates remain vacant, then colleges must fill such seats from the list of other category candidates.
There will be no admissions after the cutoff date, which is September 22, 2025, for 5-year LLB and September 25, 2025, for 3-year LLB.

Mumbai University has opened its application forms, under the Department of Law, for the two-year LLM program. The portable was made accessible for the applicants from the 3rd of August, 2024, and will be open till the 12th of August, 11:55 pm.
The applicants can fill out the form via their online portable, which is linked below for your convenience. The exam conducted by the Mumbai University for their LLM program is called the LLM CET exam, which will most probably be conducted by the end week of August 2024.
There will be around 50 multiple-choice questions from different areas of law such as constitutional law, family law, administrative law, human law, etc. The exact date of the exam will be conveyed to you either by email or via their website.
