संशोधित एआईबीई 20 पात्रता मानदंड के अनुसार, बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया (बीसीआई) ने अंतिम वर्ष के कानून के छात्रों को परीक्षा में बैठने की अनुमति दी है। जिन उम्मीदवारों ने राज्य बार काउंसिल के साथ पंजीकरण नहीं कराया है, उन्हें भी एआईबीई 20 के लिए उपस्थित होने की अनुमति दी गई है। इन छूटों से एआईबीई 20 के लिए उपस्थित होने वाले उम्मीदवारों की संख्या में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होने की उम्मीद है।
एआईबीई 19 में कितने उम्मीदवार उपस्थित हुए? (How Many Candidates Appeared in AIBE 19?)
पिछले रुझानों से पता चलता है कि एआईबीई 19 परीक्षा में कुल 2,29,843 उम्मीदवार शामिल हुए हैं। एआईबीई में शामिल होने वाले उम्मीदवारों की संख्या इतनी ज़्यादा होने का कारण यह है कि यह एकमात्र परीक्षा है जिसके ज़रिए विधि स्नातक भारत में अधिवक्ता बन सकते हैं और वकालत कर सकते हैं। एआईबीई पात्रता मानदंडों में ढील दिए जाने से भी एआईबीई 20 में शामिल होने वाले उम्मीदवारों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी हो सकती है।
एआईबीई उन विधि स्नातकों के लिए एक अनिवार्य परीक्षा है, जिन्होंने 2009-10 के बाद डिग्री प्राप्त की है, यदि वे न्यायालय में अपने ग्राहकों का प्रतिनिधित्व करना चाहते हैं।

कितने उम्मीदवार एआईबीई उत्तीर्ण करते हैं? (How Many Candidates Clear AIBE?)
उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के अनुसार,एआईबीई 19 उत्तीर्ण प्रतिशत लगभग 77.27% है। अगर एआईबीई 2019 के लिए 2.35 लाख उम्मीदवार उपस्थित हुए, तो उत्तीर्ण उम्मीदवारों की संख्या लगभग 1.77 लाख है।
एआईबीई एक क्वालिफाइंग परीक्षा है। इसलिए एआईबीई 19 कट-ऑफ को पास करने वाले सभी उम्मीदवारों को बार परीक्षा पास करने वाला माना जाएगा। सामान्य और ओबीसी उम्मीदवारों को एआईबीई पास करने के लिए 45% अंक चाहिए, जबकि SC/ST/PwD उम्मीदवारों को 40% अंक चाहिए।

No, a person cannot practice law in India without passing the All-India Bar Examination (AIBE). After completing an LLB degree from a recognized university, a law graduate must enroll with a State Bar Council and must clear the AIBE exam conducted by the Bar Council of India. Only after passing the exam, the advocate receives a Certificate of Practice , which allows him or her to practice law in any court in India.
So, without clearing AIBE, one cannot legally appear or argue in court.
