As per the AIBE 21 eligibility criteria, BCI has allowed final-year law students to appear for the exam. Candidates who have not registered with a State Bar Council were also allowed to appear for AIBE 21. These relaxations are expected to significantly increase the number of candidates who appeared for AIBE 21 compared to last year.
Past trends suggest that a total of 2,51,968 candidates have appeared for the AIBE 20 exam. The high number of candidates appearing for AIBE is because it is the only exam through which law graduates can become advocates and practise law in India.
