Failure to adhere to the dress code of AIBE can lead to disqualification of the candidate. As per the revised AIBE eligibility criteria, final-year law graduates and candidates without state bar council enrolment are also allowed to appear for AIBE 19. This change leads to an increase in the number of candidates taking the Bar Council exam. Candidates who clear the All India Bar Examination will be awarded a Certificate of Practice (CoP). The CoP is a mandatory document to practise law in India and represent clients in a court of law.

Clothing Guidelines for AIBE 19

  • Candidates must wear appropriate attire, preferably formal or semi-formal clothing such as shirts and trousers, or saree.

  • Fancy and extravagant clothing should be avoided

  • Candidates must opt for clothing that is convenient for them and allows them to sit comfortably through the exam.

  • Avoid wearing any headgear or scarves unless it is for any religious purpose

  • Heavy clothing such as jackets and sweaters should be avoided due to security reasons.

  • Weather-appropriate clothing is allowed

Other Important Exam Instructions for AIBE 19

Given below are the important AIBE 19 exam instructions that candidates must follow on the exam day:

  • Candidates must arrive at the exam centre at the prescribed reporting time.

  • Candidates must carry a printout of the AIBE 19 card to the exam hall without which they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

  • They must also carry valid ID proof such as voter ID, aadhar card or passport to the exam

  • AIBE is not an open-book exam. However, candidates are allowed to carry copies of bare acts without notes to the exam hall.

  • Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, tablets and smartwatches are not allowed inside the exam hall.

  • Only a blue/black ballpoint pen must be used to mark the answers in the OMR sheet.

  • Candidates with 50% or more disability are allowed an extra 20 minutes per hour to attempt the exam.

The BPP is typically required for those who do not have a formal educational qualification equivalent to 10+2.it has nothing to do with aibe exam because it conducted to assess basic level knowledge of law degree student and lay down minimum benchmark for entering into practice of law in addition to assessing candidate's analytical skills.
