A score of 80-100 is enough for SC and ST candidates to secure admission into any NLU. However, for candidates from the general and OBC categories, a score of 80 to 100 will throw up a variety of NLU options. General candidates at the lower end of the 80 to 100 marks range will find it difficult to obtain admission in the CLAT counselling rounds.
The tables below provide the list of NLUs for various categories based on the past NLU cut-off trends. Also given are the opening and closing ranks for each category. The CLAT mark range of 80 to 100 marks has been divided into 4 sub categories namely 80 to 85 marks, 85 to 90 marks, 90 to 95 marks, and 95 to 100 marks, with corresponding NLUs given for each category under the four different marks ranges.
The rank range for CLAT marks 80 to 85 is expected to be between 2250 and 4800. General category candidates do not have a chance of admission in this range. EWS candidates will be able to secure admission under state reservation category.
SC and ST category candidates can secure admission into any NLUs with CLAT marks 80 to 85 marks including premier NLUs such as NLS Bangalore, NALSAR and NUJS Kolkata. The top NLUs for EWS and OBC candidates are given below.

A score of 95 to 100 in CLAT will put the candidate in the top one percentile with a rank below 300. At this rank candidates can secure admission into NLU they want. However, general category candidates with a rank above 100 may find it difficult to obtain admission into NLSIU Bengaluru which is the top ranked NLU in India. Other than this small hurdle, CLAT marks of 95 to 100 is good enough for admission to any NLU for other candidates.

Since you scored 8000 AIR in CLAT, getting into top NLUs may not be possible, so it is a good idea to look for affordable and good law colleges.
State government law colleges are usually low in fees, and have decent reputation. Some options include Government Law College, Mumbai, Faculty
