The Consortium of National Law Universities has published the second CLAT 2025 merit list on June 4, 2025. Candidates can download the merit list from the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The second CLAT 2025 allotment list is provisional. Candidates are required to pay the confirmation fee and the university fees to secure admission. The CLAT 2025 merit list is published for each round of counselling. As per the revised schedule issued by the consortium, there are three rounds of CLAT 2025 counselling for admissions into 5-year LLB programmes of participating NLUs.

What After the CLAT 2025 Second Merit List is Published?

After the merit list is out, candidates have to choose one of the three options as explained below, within the prescribed deadline.

  • Freeze option: Candidates who are satisfied with their allotted seat and those who have been allotted their first preference NLU seat must choose the freeze option and pay the confirmation fee of Rs 20000.

  • Float option: Candidates who have not been allotted their first NLU preference and want to upgrade to another NLU which is higher in their preference list in the later rounds of counselling must choose the float option. Such candidates are required to pay the confirmation fee of Rs 20000.

  • Exit option: Candidates who want to exit the counselling process must choose the exit option. These candidates will not be considered for further rounds of admission.

Mumbai University has opened its application forms, under the Department of Law, for the two-year LLM program. The portable was made accessible for the applicants from the 3rd of August, 2024, and will be open till the 12th of August, 11:55 pm.

The applicants can fill out the form via their online portable, which is linked below for your convenience. The exam conducted by the Mumbai University for their LLM program is called the LLM CET exam, which will most probably be conducted by the end week of August 2024.

There will be around 50 multiple-choice questions from different areas of law such as constitutional law, family law, administrative law, human law, etc. The exact date of the exam will be conveyed to you either by email or via their website.
