Candidates appearing for the Common Law Admission Test must go through these exam day guidelines and instructions. The CLAT 2026 will be conducted on December 7, 2025 in a single session from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Before appearing for CLAT 2026, candidates are advised to read the instructions mentioned in the CLAT admit card. Any candidate who breaches the CLAT 2026 exam guidelines and instructions will not be permitted to attempt the examination.
By following the steps outlined below, candidates can download the CLAT 2026 second seat allotment result:
The differently-abled candidates have special CLAT exam day instructions. Where they will get an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam. If any PwDs or SAPs wish to avail the facility of a scribe, they must email the consortium.

Given below is a list of valid ID proofs that are acceptable for the exam.
1. Aadhaar Card
2. Passport
3. PAN Card
4. Ration Card/ PDS Photo Card
5. Voter ID Card
6. Driving License
7. Any Photo ID issued by a Recognised Educational Institution
8. Photo Bank ATM Card
9. Kissan Photo Passbook
10. CGHS/ ECHS Photo Card
11. Address Card having Name and Photo issued by the Department of Posts
12. Certificate of Identity having photo issued by Gazetted Officer or Tehsildar on Letterhead
13. Disability ID Card/handicapped Medical Certificate issued by the respective State/UT Governments/Administrations.

The Question Booklet (QB) will carry the candidate’s photograph, name, and admit card number.
The CLAT QB consists of 120 MCQs and two blank pages for rough work. No additional sheets will be provided for rough work.
In case of any discrepancy in the QB, candidates should request the Invigilator to replace the QB and OMR Response Sheet. Do not use the previous OMR Response Sheet with the fresh QB.
Candidates must enter their Admit Card Number on the first page of the QB at the beginning of the test.
Follow the steps given below to accurately fill in the answers and ensure they are evaluated correctly:
1. Use the Correct Pen
As per the CLAT exam instructions, candidates must only use a blue/black ballpoint pen to fill the bubbles on the CLAT 2026 OMR sheet.
2. Check for CLAT OMR Sheet Instructions
Read the instructions carefully given in the OMR sheet, as these instructions will give the essential information regarding the procedure to fill out the CLAT 2026 OMR sheet in a specific order.
3. Enter Answers in an Organised Manner
First, check the question number on the OMR sheet of CLAT that matches the one you are about to answer.
Carefully read the question and darken/highlight the bubble (A, B, C, or D) corresponding to your answer.

4. Avoid Multiple Markings
As said earlier, make sure that you have not marked the same question twice due to tight spacing in rows. This will be considered as an incorrect answer and result in -0.25 negative marks.
5. Handle the OMR Sheet Carefully
In no circumstance shall there be tampering with the CLAT 2026 OMR sheet
Keep the OMR sheet of CLAT clean and avoid making stray marks on it.

With AIR 10542 and OBC rank 1843, getting top NLUs is unlikely. However, you still have chances in newer or lower ranked NLUs like NLU Assam, NUSRL Ranchi, MNLU Nagpur/Mumbai, especially in later or vacancy rounds. Also consider good private law colleges as backup options.
Since you scored 8000 AIR in CLAT, getting into top NLUs may not be possible, so it is a good idea to look for affordable and good law colleges.
