KLEE 2016 Exam Pattern – Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) 2016 shall be conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Exam (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram in offline mode. Candidates appearing for 3 year LLB and 5 year – integrated LLB admission tests can check the exam pattern of KLEE 2016 including number of questions, marks and marking scheme mentioned below in this page.

KLEE 2016 shall be conducted in the last week of June for 5 year – integrated LLB and in the second week of August for 3 year LLB. The admit card of KLEE 2016 shall be available at least a week before the conduct of exam. Check here on Important Dates of KLEE 2016.

KLEE Exam Pattern 2016 will mention type of questions, syllabus and weightage of questions for the under graduate law entrance exam.

Exam ModeKLEE 2016 shall be conducted in offline mode for both 3 year LLB and 5 year – integrated LLB.

Exam Centers – The entrance exams shall be conducted at various locations in as many as 4 cities of Kerala including Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulum, Thrissur and Kozhikode.


Exam Duration – The time allotted for attempting test paper of KLEE 2016 is 3 hours’.


Number of Questions – The total number of questions in KLEE 2016 are 200.


Types of Questions – The questions of KLEE 2016 shall be of objective type having 4 to 5 choices as response of possible right answer.


Total Marks – The total marks allotted for KLEE 2016 are 600.


KLEE 2016 Marking Scheme

  • For each correct answer 3 marks shall be allotted

  • 1 mark for each question shall be deducted in case of wrong answer

  • For no response cases, marks shall not be deducted

  • In case of more than 2 response, it will be considered as wrong answer and negative marking shall be done

The questions of KLEE 2016 shall be based on the syllabus of the topics as mentioned below - 

  • General English,

  • General Knowledge, and

  • Aptitude for Legal Studies

The KLEE examination is managed by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE). Not all the law colleges in Kerala offer admission on the basis of KLEE score. Here is the list of colleges that accepts KLEE score-

Some of the law colleges (eg. NLU) accept the CLAT scorecard for admission intolaw course . Some universities (eg. Mahatma Gandhi University, CUSAT) also take their own entrance examination for admission to law courses.

No. There are only 3 well recognised private colleges which accept KLEE for offering law courses. The colleges are:

1. Mar Gregorios College of Law

2. Sree Narayan Guru College of Legal Studies

3. Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies

There are many well recognised colleges which offer direct admissions for Law degree without any entrance exam. Some of the best colleges are:

1. Markaz Law COllege

2. Al-Azhar Law College

3. CSI College for Legal Studies

4. Kerala Law Academy Law College

5. MCT College of Legal Studies

Hi aspirant,

KLEE is a computer based exam conducted by CEE, kerala to admit students in law colleges. Not all the private colleges accept students based on the KLEE score, only few colleges consider this score. Private colleges will offer you a seat based on your 12th marks and other criteria also.
