The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, has released the MH CET Law 2026 vacant seats for round 2 of the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates allotted seats in MH CET Law CAP round 1 decided whether to freeze their allotted seat or opt for betterment. This process determined the number of vacant seats for the MH CET Law CAP round 2. The final college and category-wise vacancies are released after the round 1 admission process was completed.
Candidates who have not been allotted a seat must submit the MH CET Law choice filling for round 2. The MH CET Law 2026 round 2 choice filling is open and will close on August 26, 2026. The confirmed vacancies in these law institutions for MH CET Law round 2 are updated in this article.

The vacant seat data can give candidates more options in MH CET Law round 2, though it does not guarantee a major drop in the cutoff. The following factors should be taken into account by the candidates:
Round 2 merit: A candidate's relative merit position remains an important factor in the MH CET 3-year allotment or MH CET 5-year LLB allotment.
Category and seat type: Vacancies are linked to specific categories. A vacant MS, OMS or minority seat cannot be treated as an open seat for every candidate.
Choice filling: Candidates should place colleges according to their actual preference while considering their percentile and previous closing cutoffs.
Competition: Popular colleges such as GLC Mumbai can continue to attract candidates with high percentiles, even when seats remain vacant after round 1.
Seat availability: Vacant seats can change during the counselling process as candidates accept seats, seek betterment or even leave the admission process.
