The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, has released a detailed notification specifying the MH CET LLB CAP seat allocation 2026 rules. The CET Cell revised the MH CET LLB CAP seat allocation rules for the academic year 2026-27. If a candidate is allotted a seat based on their first preference, then the seat will no longer automatically freeze. Candidates are provided with two main options: freeze and betterment. Those who have been allotted a college during the MH CET Law 2026 seat allotment can accept the seat by opting for the freeze option. Candidates who do not wish to accept the allotted seat must exercise the betterment option. The MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 seat allotment result was released on August 18, 2026, and the MH CET 3-year LLB 2026 seat allotment results will be released on August 19, 2026.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the MH CET Law 2026 seat allotment based on their first preference shall select the freeze option under the ‘Set Seat Acceptance Status’ tab to accept the seat. The allotted seat will not be frozen automatically, unlike previous years. Candidates who have not been allotted a seat based on their first preference but wish to accept it can also exercise this option.
Candidates must log in to their registered account on the official website, select the freeze option, and pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000. They must report to the allotted college before the deadline to complete the admission process. This option is best for candidates who have been allotted a seat of their preference and do not wish to participate in the subsequent allotment rounds.
If a candidate selects the freeze option but fails to pay the seat acceptance fee, then the allotted seat will be cancelled. Such candidates can participate in the subsequent MH CET Law 2026 CAP rounds after filling out the choice filling.
