The Oriental College of Law allotment depends on several factors, including the candidate's MH CET 5-year LLB or MH CET 3-year LLB percentile, category, merit position, college preferences and availability of seats. The cut-off can also vary between MS, OMS and minority quotas. Candidate movement through Freeze and Betterment, vacant seats and seat conversion can further affect the cut-offs in subsequent CAP rounds.
Candidates can still participate in round 3 for both MH CET 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB by submitting fresh college preferences. Candidates allotted a seat but want a higher preference can also select the betterment option and participate in the next MH CET Law CAP rounds.
Before filling the next option form, candidates should check the available seats and place Oriental College higher in the preference list if it remains their preferred college. The allotment in the next round will depend on the candidate's percentile, category, preference order and seats available at the time of allotment.
Candidates should also remember that first-preference allotment is no longer automatically frozen under the revised 2026 CAP rules. Those who want to accept an allotted seat must select Freeze and pay the Rs 1,000 seat acceptance fee, while candidates seeking an upgrade can select Betterment.
