The National Law University (NLU), Delhi, provides AILET 2026 exam day guidelines for the candidates appearing on December 14, 2025. The exam will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM at designated exam centres. Students must follow the exam day instructions to avoid any mistakes. They can also refer to the AILET 2026 admit card for detailed guidelines. If any candidate does not abide by the exam rules, they can be disqualified. This article details the AILET 2026 exam guidelines, dress code, permitted and prohibited items.
There are a few general guidelines for AILET 2026 exam. Candidates must follow these to ensure a smoother exam experience. The detailed list of AILET 2026 exam instructions is given below.
It is mandatory to carry the admit card and a valid ID proof to the AILET exam centre.
Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 1.5 hours before the exam, which is at around 12:30 PM.
Entry in the exam hall is not allowed after 15 minutes from the commencement of the exam.
Candidates must follow the dress code for the AIELT exam.
Candidates must ensure that they do not carry prohibited items into the exam hall.
Writing the AILET exam under someone else’s name is a punishable offence.
In case of unfair practices, candidates must report them immediately to the invigilator.
Candidates can leave the examination hall only when they complete the exam.
Candidates must carry a few mandatory items for the exam. There is a limited number of items allowed inside the exam room.

Back or blue ballpoint pens

NLU Delhi prohibits a few items in the exam hall. These include the following:
Any electronic gadget, including mobile phones, calculators, earbuds, digital watches, fitness bands, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, or pagers
Metallic items or accessories
Food items, unless for medical reasons
Study material, notes, sheets, notebooks or printed document
Students must follow a simple and formal dress code for the AIELT 2026 exam. The acceptable dress code includes the following:
Simple light coloured clothes
Half-sleeved shirts that do not have badges, slogans or big buttons
Candidates must avoid wearing shoes
Avoid carrying bags, pouches or wallets in the exam hall
Accessories such as nose rings, chains, badges, belts, sunglasses, etc are not permitted.
