A score of 80-85 in CLAT 2026 places candidates in a competitive rank range of 1,632 to 3,506. With this range, getting admission to top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru and NALSAR Hyderabad is unlikely for general category aspirants. However, several other NLUs such as GNLU Gandhinagar, RMLNLU Lucknow, CNLU Patna, NUALS Kochi, NLU Odisha, and MNLU Mumbai admit general candidates at higher closing ranks. For reserved category candidates, especially SC and ST, admission is much easier, with many premier NLUs admitting them at ranks above 3,000. EWS and OBC candidates also find opportunities at several NLUs.
The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will release the provisional answer key for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 on December 10 at 5 PM. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
