The CLAT 2026 exam has been surrounded by speculations and controversies ever since it concluded. Many telegram accounts and social media users started alleging a paper leak in the CLAT 2026 exam. On January 5, a plea was filed in the Supreme Court of India asking for an independent probe into the CLAT 2026 paper leak controversy under the watch of the apex court. The petitioner’s plea was triggered by the videos and images being circulated on social media. In the plea, the Supreme Court has been requested to order a court-monitored, time-bound probe into the CLAT 2026 paper leak matter. Furthermore, the petitioner has urged for a CLAT 2026 re-examination in case the probe finds the allegations to be true.
Social media was abuzz with videos and images hinting at a possible CLAT 2026 paper leak as soon as the exam ended on December 7, 2025. Several videos claiming that the CLAT 2026 question paper had been leaked were first shared on certain Telegram groups and the same were later reposted by multiple users on Reddit.
According to these claims, the origin of the CLAT 2026 paper leak controversy can be traced to a Telegram channel named “SSC CPO exam paper 2026.” One of the videos allegedly showed a CLAT 2026 question booklet with incorrect answers marked on it. The claim suggested that wrong answers were intentionally marked to avoid raising suspicion.
In a separate allegation, a student claimed that he was allowed to carry a mobile phone inside the CLAT 2026 examination centre. The images shared by the candidate were reportedly sent at 2:29 pm, with a response received at 3:24 pm, which some users argued was sufficient time to receive answers. Notably, the images shared included more than 30 photographs, which closely matched the number of pages in the CLAT UG 2026 question booklet.
On January 5, 2026, a petition was filed by Lalit Pratap Singh, Devansh Patnaik and Parineeta (Minor) in the Supreme Court of India, urging for a court-monitored time-bound probe into the CLAT 2026 paper leak allegations. The plea was triggered by several social media posts being widely circulated, alleging a possible paper leak. The plea also demands a CLAT 2026 re-examination in case the allegations are found to be true. As of now, the CLAT 2026 Supreme Court plea does not have a listing date. Once the plea is listed in the SC, the same shall be updated in this section.
