Candidates with CLAT marks between 70 and 75 generally have a rank of around 5800 to 9930. General category students require a higher CLAT 2026 score than this to get into National Law Universities (NLUs). However, candidates from SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories might be admitted to NLUs with this score. Some Tier 1 colleges like NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, and GNLU Gandhinagar can admit students from certain reserved categories. In addition, some CLAT-affiliated colleges may accept students with low CLAT scores.

General category students have low chances of getting into NLUs with this score. The CLAT cut-offs for this category are generally higher. Candidates will need a score close to 100 to get admitted to top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru or NALSAR Hyderabad. Unfortunately, candidates who score around 75 marks will not qualify for any NLUs in the General category.
Candidates from the EWS category have a few NLUs in the 5800 - 9930 range. These include seats with state reservations. Based on the previous year’s cut off, MNLU Aurangabad had an opening rank of 8328 for its BA LLB program and 8244 for its BBA LLB program. MNLU Mumbai closed at 7523 with state reservations.
