The Consortium of NLUs has published the CLAT 2026 second seat allotment list today, January 22, 2026. The CLAT 2026 second merit list was published at 10 am. Candidates can check the CLAT round 2 seat allotment 2026 through the official candidate portal available through login on the Consortium’s official website. Additionally, the Consortium of NLUs has also published the CLAT 2026 institute-wise seat allotment list for round 2 on its official website. Candidates will also get to know the CLAT 2026 cutoff after round 2 allotment. This will help them plan their counselling strategy for the upcoming rounds of seat allotment. CLAT 2026 Second Seat Allotment - Freeze, Float and Exit
In the CLAT 2026 second seat allotment, candidates will have three options to exercise:
Freeze: Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment given to them can choose the “Freeze” option to confirm their seat. However, candidates will not be able to participate in the further counselling process after selecting the “Freeze” option.
Float: Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the seat allotment round but wish to be considered for upgradation can choose the “Float” option. Candidates must note that they will only be considered for their higher preferences in this case.
Exit: Candidates who did not get any seats allotted to them and want to exit the counselling process can choose this option. Such candidates will get counselling fee refund upon choosing this option.
