ICFAI University Sikkim Law Admissions 2026
Approved by BCI
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027 on December 6, 2026. General category candidates aiming for admission to top NLUs such as NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS, and NLU Jodhpur must achieve a CLAT rank under 500. Reserved category candidates can expect a lower cut-off. For example, NALSAR Hyderabad closed admissions at rank 168 for the general category, 915 for OBC, and 713 for EWS. The CLAT 2027 expected cut-off for top NLUs is based on previous years’ cut-off trends. The CLAT 2027 cut-off might vary based on the difficulty level of the exam, total number of candidates who appear for the exam, reservation policy, seat intake, etc.
NLSIU has the highest CLAT cut-off, followed by NALSAR, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS, and NLU Jodhpur. The expected CLAT 2027 cut-off for top NLUs varies by course. NLIU Bhopal offers both BA LLB and BSc LLB courses. The expected cut-off for the BA LLB is generally higher compared to the BSc LLB course. The course and category-wise cut-offs for top NLUs are given in the table below.

The CLAT cut-off changes every year due to varying factors. Some of these factors include:
Number of candidates: The competition increases if the number of candidates who appear for the exam is higher.
Difficulty level of exam: The CLAT cut-off will increase if the difficulty level of the exam is low.
Seat intake: The cut-off decreases if the number of seats at a particular NLU increases, as more candidates will be admitted.
Reservation policies: The CLAT cut-off varies for reserved categories due to the reserved seats at the particular NLU.
NLU preference: The cut-offs of highly preferred NLUs are higher than those of other NLUs.
