The university has prescribed the eligibility criteria of ILI CAT 2020 which includes a few conditions such as educational qualification, age limit, minimum required marks in the qualifying exam etc. The detailed eligibility criteria of ILI CAT 2020 are mentioned below.
Educational qualification - Candidate applying for ILI CAT 2020 should be a graduate in law (LLB). Further, candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for ILI CAT 2020.
Minimum required marks - The LLB graduate must secure at least 50% in the qualifying exam.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are entitled to 5% reservation in the minimum marks criteria.
Kashmiri migrants will have 10% relaxation in minimum marks criteria.
Age limit - There is no age bar to appear in ILI CAT 2020 (As per Bar Council of India’s norms)
The university will release the application form of ILI CAT 2020, around the first week of May, on its official website. Candidates will have to complete the online registration and fill the application form at the university portal. Online registration - Provide your full name, contact information, email id and other details to complete the registration.
Fill the application form by entering the details such as educational qualification, communication details, date of birth etc.
Upload documents - Candidates will have to upload the passport size photograph and signature along with cast certificate (if applicable) and J&K domicile certificate (if applicable).
Fees payment - After filling the application form, candidates will have to pay the application fee of 2500 in online mode. Net banking, debit card, credit card or wallet mode will be available for application fee payment.
Additionally, the university will also provide a helpline number, email id for further assistance in filling up of ILI CAT application form 2020.
ILI CAT exam centre 2020 - The university conducts ILAT CAT in Delhi, the exact centre details such as name and address will be communicated through the admit card issued to the candidate.
Around the first week of June, the authorities will issue ILI CAT 2020 admit card to all candidates registered candidates. The admit card of ILI CAT 2020 will be downloadable from the official website, however, candidates will have to use their login credentials to access ILI CAT admit card 2020. Candidates must note that the ILI CAT admit card serves as a hall ticket for entrance exam, and not having it on the day of exam will outrightly disqualify them from appearing in the exam. The university prescribes an exam pattern of ILI CAT, through its official brochure. The exam pattern creates the basic framework of ILI CAT 2020 as it contains the details related to the conduct of the exam. As per the ILI CAT 2020 exam pattern, there will be an offline test paper containing multiple-choice questions along with four subjective type questions. The university has recommended a syllabus of ILI CAT 2020 which includes the subjects/topics from where questions will be framed. In order to prepare for ILI CAT 2020, candidates are advised to refer to the syllabus as given below.
Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, IPC, Public International Law, Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act), Law of Torts, Law of Limitation and Environmental Law.
After the conduct of ILI CAT 2020, the university will release ILI CAT the answer key 2020 on its official website. The answer key of ILI CAT 2020 will contain the answers of the question paper. Candidates will have to match their records answers with the official ILI CAT answer key 2020. Doing this will give a rough idea about the candidate’s performance in the entrance test. Further, if there is any discrepancy in the official answer key, candidates will have the option to raise objections against those questions. The university, after considering the responses against the provisional ILI CAT answer key, releases a final answer key, on the basis of which ILI CAT 2020 result is prepared.

The university will release the ILI CAT 2020 result tentatively in the last week of June 2020 in online mode. Candidates will have to check the ILI CAT result 2020 by using logging into their registered id. The result of ILI CAT 2020 will mention the candidate’s provisional qualifying status along with other details such as marks obtained in the exam, roll number, etc. With the ILI CAT result 2020, candidates will be shortlisted for viva - voce, which is conducted separately and carries a weightage of 20 marks.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in the ILI CAT 2020 (Common admission test) will be called for ILI CAT counselling and viva-voce round, at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. Such a list of all shortlisted candidates will be published on the official website and no other modes of communication will be used for ILI CAT counselling 2020 and viva-voce. It should be noted that the ILI CAT 2020 viva voce will be an integral part of the admission process and candidates not appearing in the viva-voce will stand disqualified for further admission process.
Admission to the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi are offered on the basis of ILI CAT 2020 merit list, which will be released after the conduct of viva-voce round.
