The MH CET Law 2026 centralised admission process is the mandatory online system for all seat allotments. Candidates must register on the official portal and submit their college preferences in order of priority. The system then matches students with colleges based on merit scores, category-specific reservations, and the total number of available seats. Participation in MH CET law counselling rounds is essential to secure a spot in a top law institution in Maharashtra.
When two or more candidates secure the same percentile, the state CET cell applies specific tie-breaking rules, as mentioned below:
Higher marks in graduation: Candidates with a higher percentage in their qualifying degree exam get preference.
Post-graduation scores: If the tie continues, marks from post-graduation are considered.
Percentage in class 12: When both graduation and post-graduation marks are identical, higher marks in the Senior Secondary (class 12) examination are considered.
Age factor: If all academic scores remain equal, the older candidate is given priority in the merit list.
