NLUs Vacant Seats 2025: MNLU Mumbai and GNLU invite applications for LLB seats

After the completion of this round of CLAT 2025 counselling, several national law universities have begun releasing admission notifications under the spot round, as seats remain vacant following centralised counselling. Recently, the MNLU Mumbai and GNLU Silvassa have invited fresh applications from CLAT 2025 candidates to fill their vacant seats.

As per the Consortium of NLUs, a total of 92,344 candidates applied for the examination, an increase of 17% over the previous year.

IIULER, Goa, GNLU Gandhinagar, and NLU Trichy, along with several other NLUs, have posted the admission notification earlier on either the consortium’s website or their official websites.

Meanwhile, from the fresh notifications, MNLU Mumbai has posted 11 vacancies under various categories. Interestingly, the all-India general category, which is considered highly competitive, has the highest five vacancies. The remaining six seats are available under various Maharashtra categories. The detailed breakdown of seats is given below.

GNLU Silvassa Vacant Seats

The GNLU Silvassa, an off-campus of GNLU Gandhinagar, has also posted admission notification for 21 seats. Among these, nine seats are available under the All India general (including women) category, and four seats are available under the General EWS category. The details of vacant seats are given below.

Dates and details

The MNLU Mumbai has closed registration on July 08. However, GNLU Silvassa admission window is still open till July 11. Candidates applying for these seats must have a CLAT 2025 score and rank. MNLU Mumbai gave a strict criterion of AIR 1200 for the India general category, but no such criteria are given under other categories, and by GNLU Silvassa.

Candidates are advised to check the NLUs website for more details on vacant seats.

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is a national level entrance exam for the programs related to engineering. It has two levels known as JEE mains (first level) and JEE advance (second level) . Many colleges from all over India in both government and private sector consider its scores. It is an online computer based test conducted by NTA ( National Testing Agency). Physics , Chemistry and mathematics are the major subjects to be focused in this exam.

NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national level examination for admission in undergraduate medical courses. It is also conducted by NTA but in offline mode as in pen and paper test. It includes courses like MBBS, BDS BHMS , BAMS etc. The exam consists of 180 questions in total 45 from each physics , chemistry , zoology and Botany. The total marks for the exam are 720 marks.
