3-year LLB: Candidates must have completed a graduation degree from a recognized university. The qualifying marks are at least 45% for the general category and 40% for the reserved categories.
5-year LLB: Candidates must have completed their higher education from a recognized board. The qualifying marks are a minimum of 45% for the general category and 40% for the reserved categories.
LLM: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university. The qualifying marks are at least 55% for the general category and 50% for the reserved categories.
The general admission process for getting admitted to top law colleges in Telangana is either through the merits of the qualifying exam or through the entrance test scores. After checking the merits or the entrance test score, the university calls the qualified candidates for counselling for seat allotment.
TS LAWCET: The Osmania University conducts the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test, once a year in online mode. TS LAWCET is a state-level exam for Telangana to get admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses offered by various law colleges in the state.
TS PGLCET: The Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test is also conducted by Osmania University for admission to LLM programmes offered by law colleges in Telangana. The test is conducted once a year in online mode.
CLAT: The Common Law Admission Test is a national-level entrance test conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. It is conducted once a year to get admitted to top NLUs and other CLAT-participating universities.
NMIMS-LAT: Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies conducts the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test once a year in online mode. It is a national-level test for admission to NMIMS Law Colleges.
