AIBE 20 Expected Cut off 2025 for General, OBC, SC & ST

JasmineUpdated on 30 Nov 2025, 03:59 PM IST

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 exam is scheduled on November 30, 2025. The Bar Council of India (BCI) sets a minimum qualifying mark limit to clear the examination. As AIBE is a qualifying exam to obtain the Certificate of Practice (CoP), the cutoff is equivalent to the minimum passing marks required to qualify for the exam. AIBE 20 passing marks differ for each category of candidates. 45 marks out of 100 is the minimum score required for the General and OBC students, and 40 marks out of 100 is the minimum score for SC, ST, and PwD. However, the AIBE 20 cutoff might change if a few questions are withdrawn or any other revisions are made. BCI will release the final AIBE 20 cutoff on the official website after the AIBE results are declared.

Factors Affecting AIBE 20 Cut Off

The AIBE cutoff remains the same unless the BCI introduces a new cutoff for the exam. Candidates can also raise a formal objection when BCI opens the objection window after the exam. Through this formal process, they can submit the claim with proof on the official website. Here are some of the factors that can affect the AIBE 20 passing marks.

  • Difficulty of Exam: To maintain fairness, BCI might adjust the qualifying marks if the exam is difficult than usual.

  • Withdrawn Questions: The AIBE passing marks can be reduced if some of the questions are withdrawn by the BCI.

  • Multiple Correct Answers: Some questions might have multiple correct answers. Candidates can either get the marks for attempting these questions or BCI will remove the question.

  • Acceptable Objections: After the objections submitted during the objection window, BCI might accept them and revise the questions. This might impact the total AIBE score.
