The Bar Council of India (BCI) conducts the All India Bar Examination XXII (AIBE 22) across 50 cities in India. AIBE 22 is scheduled to be conducted on November 29, 2026. The exam will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at the designated exam centres. The BCI releases the list of exam centres on its official website. Candidates can select up to three preferred AIBE XXII exam centres during the registration process. The AIBE 22 exam centre address wil be specified on the admit card. They must verify their centre details on the official BCI website to ensure they are aware of their exact location and any last-minute changes. AIBE is a mandatory qualifying examination for law graduates who wish to practice law in India. The exam assesses core legal subjects such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Evidence, Professional Ethics, and other relevant areas through 100 objective-type questions.

AIBE 22 exam will be conducted on November 29, 2026.
Once the candidate has submitted the application form, the AIBE 22 exam centre cannot be changed.
No, candidates need to appear for the AIBE exam only at the test centres that have been assigned to them. Any request for a modification in examination centre assignment will be denied by BCI.
There is no dress code for the AIBE XXII exam 2026. Candidates can wear anything they find comfortable.
There are a total of 50 exam centres where the AIBE XXII (22) exam will be conducted.

No. If you are currently in the 5th semester of a 3-year LL.B., you generally cannot register for AIBE yet.
Under the current BCI rules, a 3-year LL.B. student must be in the final semester (6th semester) and have no backlogs from previous semesters to register for AIBE.
