Amity University-Noida Law Admissions 2026
Among top 100 Universities Globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026
Candidates can now appear for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) even without possessing their final LLB degree or State Bar Council enrolment certificate. However, this relaxation is available only to specific categories notified by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Following the Supreme Court's directions, the BCI revised the AIBE eligibility rules. Final-semester law students without backlogs, law graduates awaiting results or degree certificates, graduates who have not enrolled with a State Bar Council, and candidates who surrendered their enrolment due to employment can now register for the AIBE.
The revised eligibility rules apply only to candidates studying or graduating from BCI-recognised universities or BCI-approved law colleges. Candidates with backlogs are not eligible under the final-semester category. Similarly, candidates from non-BCI-recognised institutions or those who have not pursued a recognised LLB programme cannot appear for the examination.
