The National Law University Delhi will conduct the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) on December 14, 2025. Candidates appearing for the exam should follow the prescribed AILET 2026 dress code as instructed by the institute. It is important to wear light clothes to avoid any chance of hiding cheating materials. Any candidate who is found copying will be disqualified and it will be treated as an Unfair Means Case.
The AILET 2026 exam will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM. However, candidates are advised to report to the exam hall at least 30 minutes before, i.e., at 1:30 PM, to identify the seating plan displayed and avoid crowding at the exam centre.
Wear light clothes.
Candidates should wear half-sleeved shirts.
No shoes are permitted inside the test hall.
Female or male candidates should not wear any sort of jewelry.
Candidates can find the AILET timings in the table mentioned below:
1:00 pm | Candidate’s entry into the exam centre |
1:30 pm | Candidate’s entry into the exam hall |
1:45 pm | Transparent Sealed Envelopes containing question booklets and OMR response sheets are distributed, and the invigilators announce any pertinent instructions. |
2:00 pm | Commencement of the entrance test through a long bell |
2:15 pm | Second bell after which no candidate will be allowed inside the exam room |
2: 30 pm | Short warning bell upon lapse of 30 minutes |
3:00 pm | Short warning bell upon lapse of 60 minutes |
3:50 pm | Short warning bell |
4:00 pm | Long bell announcing the completion of the allotted time for the test |
The following are the exam day guidelines for AILET 2026. Every candidate must follow these guidelines to avoid any type of difficulty at the exam hall.
It must be noted that no candidate shall open the sealed envelope containing the Question Booklet (QB) and OMR Response Sheet before 2:00 P.M.
Candidates should verify whether the QB and in case of any defect in the QB, they should immediately report it to the invigilator.
Candidates must completely shade the answer circle without leaving any space. Incomplete circles will not be considered for evaluation of marks.
The ALIET admit card is provisional, subject to the verification of eligibility.
The rough work can be done at the end of QB itself and not on the OMR Response Sheet. No additional sheets will be supplied for rough work.

Candidates should not seek clarifications from anybody while the test is still in progress
Appropriate action will be taken if a candidate is found giving or receiving assistance when the exam is in progress
Candidates must stop writing at 4:00 PM and return the original OMR sheet. In case the candidate carries the OMR sheet out of the exam room, it can result in disqualification, and legal proceedings can be initiated against the candidate.
Only after the invigilator has collected all the OMR sheets can the candidate leave the examination hall
Any dispute about the AILET 2026 will be subjected to the Delhi court’s jurisdiction

With your score of 110, the chance for AILET is high for the SC category because approximately the expected cut-offs are often 48 to above 55. If you do not recive an invitation try to check the NLU Delhi portal for your rank and email.
