GNIOT BA LLB Admissions 2026
NAAC A+ Accredited | Students | Moot Court Session | Legal Aid Clinics | | Scholarships to Meritorious
The CLAT 2026 round 2 seat allotment has been released at 10:00 AM on January 22, 2026. Following the CLAT 2026 first allotment round, where top institutions like NLSIU Bengaluru closed at AIR 101, the second list closed at AIR 108. While top NLUs show limited rank shifts, mid-tier and newer NLUs typically have more noticeable CLAT cutoff changes. This round is especially critical for those who opted to 'float' their initial seat, as it determines if they have been upgraded to a more preferred university or if they must retain their current seat allocation.
The confirmation fee payment window is open from January 22 to January 29, 2026 (until 1:00 PM). To secure their place, all candidates choosing to freeze or float must pay a non-refundable confirmation fee of Rs 20,000. Failure to take action or pay the fee by the January 29, 2026 deadline will result in the automatic cancellation of the allotted seat and removal from all further CLAT counselling rounds. Candidates who freeze their seats in CLAT rounds 1 through 3 are also reminded that the final deadline to pay the remaining university admission fees is April 24, 2026.

Upon the release of the CLAT second allotment list, candidates must choose one of three options:
Freeze: Select this if candidates are satisfied with their allotted NLU. Choosing this confirms the seat of the candidate in that particular allotted NLU. They must pay the confirmation fee and will not be considered for further rounds.
Float: Choose this if candidates accept the current seat but wish to be considered for a higher-preference NLU in CLAT round 3. If no upgrade occurs, their current seat remains secure. They must still pay the confirmation fee to hold the current seat.
Exit: Use this option to withdraw completely from the CLAT counselling process 2026. This forfeits the current seat of the candidate, and they cannot re-enter the CLAT 2026 admission cycle.
Upon accepting a seat (freeze or float), candidates must upload clear scanned copies of:
Class 10 and 12 marksheets.
CLAT 2026 admit card.
Character certificate and transfer/migration certificate.
Caste/category certificate (if applicable).

Hey there,
If you mean CLAT eligibility for admission to 5-year LLB courses, there is no fixed CLAT score/rank that guarantees eligibility. You must first meet the basic Class 12 eligibility criteria, and admission is based on your CLAT rank, category, preferences, and counselling cut-offs.
For NLUs, a better rank
