The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will close the CLAT 2026 registration window on October 31, 2025. Fresh CLAT 2026 registrations will not be accepted after the CLAT 2026 registration last date. Candidates are advised to finish the CLAT 2026 registration process well in time and avoid any last-minute glitches. It is expected that the CLAT 2026 admit card will be issued in the coming months, i.e. 15 days before the exam date of December 7, 2025 in online mode only. Candidates who have completed the registration process for CLAT 2026 will be able to download the CLAT admit card 2026 in the third week of November 2025 only at consortiumofnlus.ac.in through their login credentials. The Consortium of National Law Universities will conduct CLAT 2026 on December 7, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm, in offline mode. Through the Common Law Admission Test, candidates will get admitted into the 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating NLUs.
The Common Law Admission Test will be conducted for admission to 24 National Law Universities and more than 60 law schools across India. Following all the CLAT exam day instructions is important to maintain decorum and avoid any hassles when appearing for the exam. Here are some CLAT 2026 exam day guidelines that candidates should follow:
Candidates will be allowed to enter the premises from 1 pm onwards; the exam starts at 2 pm.
Once the candidates enter the CLAT exam centre, they will not be allowed to leave the exam hall until 4 pm.
No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centres after 2:15 pm.
Candidates are not allowed to use the washroom during the exam.
No clarification regarding the question booklet can be sought during the exam.
If candidates find any discrepancy or unsealed question booklet, they can request the invigilator to change the booklet.
Candidates must enter the QB Number and the OMR Response Sheet Number and sign in the space/ column in the attendance sheet.
Candidates can take the Question Booklet and signed admit card after the conclusion of the exam.

In CLAT , the 9-digit admit card number is not the same as the roll number you have to write on the OMR sheet. The OMR sheet has only 7 blocks because the CLAT roll number is shorter.
You should check your admit card again and look for the roll number printed near your name and exam details. Fill only that roll number in the OMR sheet. Do not write the 9-digit admit card number.
If you still cannot find the roll number, you can ask the exam invigilator on the exam day.

To check your CLAT exam hall ticket, go to the official website, log in with your registration or application number and password (or other login details), and the admit card will be displayed on the screen. You should then download and print at least two copies of the admit card for the exam and counselling process.
