The Consortium of NLUs will not conduct the CLAT 2026 spot round admissions. Instead, the NLU spot round admissions are carried out independently by each NLU. The NLU spot round admissions 2026 will be carried out in multiple rounds as per the status of vacant seats. Candidates must check the availability of seats and the admission schedule through the official website of these NLUs. Conclusion of the CLAT 2026 counselling: The CLAT 2026 counselling is currently being held online. There are five rounds of CLAT 2026 counselling. The counselling process of CLAT 2026 will officially conclude after the fifth round. No NLUs will start their spot round admission before the fifth round of CLAT 2026 counselling.
Notification of Vacant Seats: Once the CLAT 2026 fifth counselling round concludes, NLUs will start notifying vacant seats through their website. Each NLU will release a separate notification for the number of NLU vacant seats 2026 on its website along with the detailed admission schedule. The NLUs will also clearly notify the eligibility criteria and rank requirements for admissions. Candidates are advised to carefully go through the NLUs vacat seats notifications 2026.
Applying for Spot Round Admissions: Candidates will be required to apply for the spot round of admissions at individual NLU. The detailed notification of NLU spot round admissions 2026 will comprise of the application link and a detailed timeline of admissions and application. Preparation of Merit List for Spot Admission Rounds: After the application process is over, the NLUs will prepare merit lists for the spot round of admissions. Shortlisted candidates must report to the given venue with all the specified documents, such as the admit card, scorecard copy, caste certificate, etc. Candidates will be allotted seats on the same day, generally during the NLU spot round admissions 2026. Candidates will be allotted seats based on merit ranks. In case any candidate is not available or chooses to decline the seat, the seat will automatically be offered to the next candidate.
Payment of admission fee and admission confirmation: Candidates who have been allotted seats will be required to pay the required admission fee to reserve their seats. The NLU admission fee payment has to be made immediately after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will get an admission confirmation letter after the payment of the admission fee.
