Female Candidates Cut-Off Trends in CLAT 2026

Female Candidates Cut-Off Trends in CLAT 2026

Mirza Farhan BaigUpdated on 31 Dec 2025, 09:52 AM IST

The Common Law Admission is the biggest and most competitive entrance examination in India. A total of 88,657 students appeared for CLAT 2026, including UG and PG. Hence, the cut-off even for female candidates is expected to be high. The CLAT female cut-off is usually lower than male candidates, due to multiple NLUs offering separate reservations for female students. At NLSIU Bengaluru, the women’s category opening and closing ranks are expected to range around 5 and 105.

The CLAT 2026 female cutoff is the minimum mark required for inclusion in the rank list for admission to NLUs. The first round of CLAT merit list will be released on January 7, 2026 in online mode. Due the high demand, CLAT seats in the General category at top NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru, and NALSAR Hyderabad rarely remain vacant beyond the second round. Through the CLAT 2026, candidates get admission into the 5-year LLB and LLM programmes at different CLAT participating universities across India.
