    GNLU Gandhinagar Begins NRI Quota Admissions for BA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB & More

    Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) Gandhinagar started the NRI quota admissions for UG and PG programs from February 11, 2026. Candidates will be admitted based on the CLAT All India Rank (AIR) merit. GNLU Gandhinagar conducts a separate admission process for NRI/NRI-sponsored categories. This means that the NRI applicants are not a part of the centralized CLAT 2026 counselling process. Candidates must apply directly to the university’s admission portal. The last date to apply for the GNLU Gandhinagar NRI/NRI-sponsored admission is May 31, 2026, before 5:00 PM. The Consortium of National Law Universities conducted the CLAT 2026 exam on December 7, 2025.

    GNLU Gandhinagar NRI/ NRI-Sponsored Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for a law program at GNLU Gandhinagar as an NRI/NRI-sponsored applicant, one must fulfill at least one of the following eligibility criteria.

    • One of the parents must be an NRI and should be living abroad as an NRI

    • The sponsor of the NRI applicant must be a first-degree relative living abroad as an NRI

    • Guardian of the applicant in case of no parents must be an NRI residing abroad

    • Applicants can be Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders to apply for GNLU Gandhinagar NRI/NRI-sponsored admission.

    • Click on the ‘Application Form for UG/PG Programme’

    • Select a UG or PG programme

    • Fill out the personal details

    • Select ‘NRI/NRI Sponsored’ under the Admission category adn ‘NA’ under the Horizontal category

    • Upload the required documents and save the application

    Documents Required for NRI/NRI-Sponsored Admissions at GNLU Gandhinagar

    While filling out the GNLU Gandhinagar NRI/NRI-Sponsored application form, candidates are required to upload several documents. They must also submit the original documents at the time of admission. The list of mandatory documents for the application for NRI/NRI-sponsored admissions includes:

    • CLAT 2026 admit card

    • CLAT Result

    • Certificate from Competent Authority regarding NRI/OCI/ (PIO) or Card Holder Sponsor (NRI Category).

    • Notarized Certificate of Sponsorship for Admission in LLB/LLM Programme

    • Resident Proof of the Sponsor

    • Notarized copy of the Sponsor’s passport
