A Right to Information (RTI) response has revealed the AIBE 19 result statistics. The RTI response reveals that 2,36,403 candidates registered for the exam. However, 52,251 candidates failed to qualify the AIBE 19 exam 2024. The pass rate in AIBE 19 exam has increased from around 51% to around 77%. AIBE 19 also saw many more candidates write the exam 2,29,843 compared to last year's number of 1,44,014. The Bar Council of India conducted the All India Bar Examination on December 22, 2024. The increase in the number of candidates appearing for AIBE 19 can be attributed to a change in the AIBE 19 eligibility criteria. Usually, candidates who have completed their 3-year LLB/5-year LLB are only able to appear for the AIBE exam. However, as per a recent judgement passed by the Supreme Court of India, candidates who are in their final year of the LLB/BA LLB programme and don't have backlogs, and candidates without enrolment certificate are also eligible to appear for the All India Bar Examination. Based on the previous year's data, around 1,48,000 students registered for the AIBE 19 exam, and around 1,44,000 students appeared for AIBE 2024. With revised AIBE 2024 eligibility criteria, the estimated number of students who appeared for the AIBE 19 (XIX) exam is increased and expected to be around 1,60,000–1,70,000.

The Bar Council of India conducts the AIBE exam to test the skills of law graduates at a fundamental level. Candidates who have achieved the AIBE 19 passing marks and cleared the AIBE 2024 cutoff will receive a Certificate of Practice (CoP) after enrolling with the State Bar Council. The AIBE Certificate of Practice (CoP) is a required license issued by BCI, as candidates must hold an AIBE CoP to legally practice law in India.
