Candidates must follow each stage given below within the prescribed timeline to remain eligible for admission:
CAP Registration: Candidates having a valid MH CET 5-year LLB 2026 score must register online through the official CAP portal. Fresh candidates need to complete registration, while existing users can log in using their application credentials.
Document Upload and E-Scrutiny: After registration, candidates are required to upload the prescribed documents for online verification. The e-verification committee scrutinises the uploaded documents and confirms the candidate's eligibility.
Publication of Alphabetical List: The CET Cell releases the alphabetical list after completion of e-scrutiny. This list only indicates successful registration and document submission and does not represent the candidate's merit position.
Grievance and Correction Window: Candidates can verify their details in the alphabetical list and report discrepancies, if any. Necessary corrections and document updates can be made during the grievance period.
Release of Final Merit List: After resolving grievances, the authorities publish the final merit list. The merit list is prepared on the basis of MH CET Law score, category, candidature type and verified documents. Only candidates included in the final merit list are eligible for seat allotment.
College Option Form Filling: Eligible candidates must fill and lock their preferred law colleges in order of priority. A carefully prepared preference list plays a crucial role in the allotment process.
CAP Seat Allotment: The CET Cell allots seats based on the candidate's merit rank, reservation category, college preferences, and seat availability. Seat allotment results are released separately for each CAP round.
Reporting to Allotted College: Candidates who receive a seat allotment must report to the allotted college within the specified deadline, complete admission formalities, and pay the required fees to confirm their admission.
Subsequent CAP Rounds and Institute-Level Admissions: Candidates seeking better allotments can participate in subsequent CAP rounds as per the counselling rules. After completion of the three CAP rounds, vacant seats, if any, are filled through institute-level admissions (ACAP) conducted by participating colleges.
