MH CET Law 2026: What Percentile Is Required for GLC Mumbai, ILS Pune, and Other Top Law Colleges?

JasmineUpdated on 10 Aug 2026, 10:39 AM IST

The State CET Cell, Maharashtra, is conducting the MH CET Law 2026 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. Candidates who are participating in the CAP rounds must carefully fill out the MH CET Law 2026 web options. Those aiming for top law colleges such as Government Law College (GLC), Mumbai, Indian Law Society (ILS), Pune, Yashwantrao Chavan Law College, etc., must be aware of the required percentile. Admissions at top law colleges in Maharashtra are highly competitive, requiring a high percentile for admission. Candidates who scored a percentile between 98 and 100 have a higher chance of obtaining a seat during the CAP rounds. Several factors affect the MH CET Law 2026 cut-off each year, such as the exam difficulty, the number of students appearing for the exam, the reservation policy of the college, and more.

MH CET Law 2026 Seat Allotment Process

Candidates who have scored the required MH CET Law 2026 percentile and filled out the preference list during the web options will be allotted a seat during the CAP process. The MH CET 3-year LLB 2026 allotment list will be published on August 12, 2026, and the MH CET 5-year LLB seat allotment list on August 13, 2026.

The CET Cell has revised the MH CET Law 2026 CAP rules for the academic year 2026-27. The rules are as follows:

    1. Editable Web Options: Candidates can make changes to their web options as many times as required till the web options for that round are closed. This change is introduced as more approved colleges are being added during the admission process.

    2. Auto Freeze Discontinued: Candidates used to be allotted the first-preference college automatically during the CAP round. This auto freeze option is discontinued for this session.

    3. Freeze Option: Candidates must choose the Freeze option to accept the allotted seat. They will be required to pay Rs 1,000 and report to the allotted college before the deadline.

    4. Betterment: Candidates can choose the Betterment option if they wish to get a seat in the subsequent round. They must also pay Rs 1,000 as a seat acceptance fee. Candidates who opt for betterment must refill the MH CET Law 2026 web options for respective rounds. This option will no longer be valid for the third round.
