The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has opened the MH CET Law CAP counselling registration 2025 for 5-year LLB on June 26, 2025. Candidates can register for LLB CET counseling from the official website - llb5cap25.mahacet.org till July 10, 2025. Candidates who have a valid score in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law will be eligible to register for the MH CET law 2025 counselling. The MH CET LLB CAP registration 2025 is a very important aspect of the admission process and candidates must have an idea about their options before filling their choices. The MH CET 3-year LLB counselling registrations will also start soon. The CET Cell will release the MH CET law cut-offs for each CAP round. Only those candidates who clear the cut-off for each round will be offered admission. Latest: MH CET 5-year LLB counselling registration. Earlier, the CET Cell declared the MH CET law 2025 result on June 4 for 5-year LLB, and on June 20 for 3-year LLB. Through the MH CET law 2025, candidates will be admitted into 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of participating colleges in Maharashtra.
Factors Determining MH CET Law 2025 Cut-Off Percentile
The important factors that will influence the LLB CET cut-off for different colleges are given below -

Number of applicants
College preferences filled out by the candidates
MH CET law 2025 reservation policy followed by colleges
Normalisation Process to Determine MAH LLB Percentile Ranks and Cut-Off
The CET Cell conducts the LLB CET 2025 exams in different sessions. To make the candidate’s performance comparable and rank the candidates in the MH CET law merit list, it uses a normalisation process to convert the raw scores into percentile scores.
A percentile score determines the percentage of candidates who have obtained a score equal to or less than the candidate. The percentile scores are calculated upto 7 decimal places to minimise ties and avoid the bunching effect.
The normalisation process is given below -
The highest score obtained by a candidate in each session is determined to be the 100th percentile for that session.
Secondly, the MH CET LLB percentile score for candidates in each session is calculated.
Finally, all the percentile scores across sessions are merged to calculate the overall MH CET LLB percentile scores.

The CET Cell has only notified the registration dates for the MH 5-year LLB CAP round. The full CAP schedule will be announced soon on the 5-year LLB CAP admission portal, which includes the merit list dates, college option filling window, and seat allotment dates.

A candidate is required to pay an application fee of Rs 200 if there is a change in category from reserved to open. NRI/foreign candidates are required to pay Rs 5000.

June 26, 2025 | 4 pm | Normalisation Process to Calculate MH CET Law Cut-Off Percentile Rank
The CET Cell Maharashtra follows a normalisation process where candidates' raw scores are converted into percentile scores to rank the candidates in the MH CET law merit list 2025. First, the percentile scores for each session are calculated separately with the top candidate in each session having a score of the 100th percentile. Next, all the percentile scores are merged to get the overall percentile rank of the candidate.
