A law degree is an extremely popular career choice in India. Law degree courses are offered by various colleges and universities across India. The course is available at different academic levels that are undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD. Besides, some educational institutes even have diploma and certificate courses. There are a plethora of subjects offered under each degree.
The most required quality for a law student is communication skills. While studying any of the law courses, a student would need to participate in group discussions and events like a moot court. Another ability includes writing. The students are evaluated as per their writing styles. The law aspirants must be very meticulous and studious to become successful in their respective professions.

For Bachelors
The tenure of the course is three years. A candidate must complete its graduation to be eligible for the program. It is the most popular postgraduate course among law students.
The tenure of the course is 5-years. A student can pursue it after completing higher secondary in any of the three streams that are science, commerce, and humanities.
It is a five-year integrated course. Students from any stream can opt for it, but usually, commerce students prefer the program. The undergraduate degree is a combination of both business administration and law.
BCom LLB is an undergraduate degree. The duration of the course is 5years. The program includes some parts of law and commerce. Some of the subjects are Business Communication, Economics, Auditing, Law of Contract, Consumer Protection Law, Constitutional Law, Law of Crimes, etc.
The duration of the course is 5-years. The aspirants can pursue it after completing their class 12th. It is a conglomeration of law and science subjects such as Chemistry, Biotechnology, Civil law, criminal law, corporate law, taxation law, etc.
For Masters
It is a two-year master's course. A candidate with an LLB degree can pursue the degree.
It is a 6-years course where a student researches a specific topic related to law. He or she needs to submit a thesis paper.
For Undergraduate courses:
To be eligible for an undergraduate course, the aspirant must have completed its higher secondary from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Some colleges even conduct entrances, so for that, the candidate must also clear the examination.
For Postgraduate courses:
A candidate must be a graduate in any of the law degrees. If an individual wants to pursue LLM, then it needs to be an LLB graduate or should have completed an equivalent degree.
For Undergraduate courses:
Admission in undergraduate courses is merit-based or the candidate requires to appear for an entrance examination. Some of the exams are-
