Understanding CLAT 2026 Counselling Options: Freeze, Float, Exit
Once a seat is allotted, candidates must select one of three mandatory options: Freeze, Float, and Exit:
Freeze: Select this if the candidate is satisfied with NLSIU Bangalore and wants to secure their admission. Choosing this removes the candidate from further rounds of upgradation. The candidate must pay the confirmation fee and the university fee to finalise their spot.
Float: Use this if the candidate has been allotted a lower-preference NLU but hopes to move up to NLSIU in the next CLAT counselling rounds. Candidate must pay the confirmation fee to hold their current seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade.
- Exit: This option is for students who no longer wish to participate in the CLAT 2026 admission process. Once this option is chosen, it is irreversible, and the candidate will not be considered in any further allotment lists.
