Amity University-Noida Law Admissions 2026
Among top 100 Universities Globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026
The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, remains the first preference for nearly every top-ranking candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). CLAT 2026 expected cut-off for NLSIU Bangalore remains competitive, with the General category closing at rank 115. Unlike other National Law Universities (NLUs), NLSIU Bangalore consistently gives the highest CLAT cut-offs.
NLSIU Bengaluru is India's top-ranked and oldest National Law University, consistently holding the number 1 spot in NIRF law ranking for many years. For the 2026 academic session, it offers 310 seats for its 5-year BA LLB (Hons) program. The Consortium of NLUs is scheduled to release the first merit list on January 07, 2026. Candidates who find their names on this first allotment list are almost certain to get a seat at NLSIU if they complete the admission formalities.

Once a seat is allotted, candidates must select one of three mandatory options: Freeze, Float, and Exit:
Freeze: Select this if the candidate is satisfied with NLSIU Bangalore and wants to secure their admission. Choosing this removes the candidate from further rounds of upgradation. The candidate must pay the confirmation fee and the university fee to finalise their spot.
Float: Use this if the candidate has been allotted a lower-preference NLU but hopes to move up to NLSIU in the next CLAT counselling rounds. Candidate must pay the confirmation fee to hold their current seat while remaining eligible for an upgrade.
