LATLAT 2017 – Law Admission Test (LAT) is a standardised state level LLB entrance exam, conducted by Allahabad University (AU). The institute has announced that LAT will be held on 7 June 2017. The application process of LAT had started from 21 April 2017 and the deadline for the same was 13 May 2017. LAT 2017 allows Allahabad University to screen candidates to LLB programme at the university. The state level entrance exam is conducted once in a year for candidates who want to pursue LLB programme at the university. LAT 2017 is conducted in a paper-pen format, which has to be completed in 120 minutes. As per the exam pattern of the same, the LLB entrance exam contains both objective and subjective type of questions of total 300 marks. The main objective of LAT 2017 is to determine the eligibility of the candidates to the three year LLB programme in Allahabad University. LAT Eligibility Criteria 2017

 

Allahabad University is responsible for describing the eligibility criteria of LAT 2017. The eligibility criteria is mentioned below:

  • A bachelor degree of minimum three years duration from any discipline and from a recognised university

  • A General category candidate must score 45% total marks

  • 42% for OBC category, 40% for SC/ST candidates

  • Candidates in their final year may also apply for LAT 2017

  • Candidates who are pursuing or have completed degree programme from distance mode will not be allowed to take the LAT 2017. They are ineligible as per the Bar Council of India.

Age Criteria- The age bar for LAT has been removed by the Allahabad High Court.

 

LAT Application Form 2017

 

The application form of LAT 2017 is available in online mode only. The LAT application form was made available from 21 April 2017 and the deadline for the same was 13 May 2017. Before taking the entrance exam, candidates first have to make sure they are eligible to take the LAT 2017. When filling the application form details such as personal information, contact details and others will have to be mentioned on the form. Once the application form is complete, candidates must retain the copy of the submitted form for future reference.

 

Application fee: Rs. 600 for General and OBC category candidates, while for SC/ST and PH it is Rs. 300.

 

LAT Exam Pattern 2017

 

The exam pattern of LAT 2017 comprises of both objective and subjective type of questions which has to be completed in 120 minutes. According to the LAT exam pattern 2017 the entrance exam is divided into three parts: Language Comprehension, General Awareness and Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude. Each part will have different number of questions and each question will carry different marks. LAT 2017 is worth a total of 300 marks.

LAT Admit Card 2017

 

The admit card of LAT 2017 was issued for those candidates who had successfully registered for the exam and have met the eligibility criteria laid by the university. LAT admit card 2017 can be downloaded through the official link availble in this page. The Allahabad University LLB exam registered candidates can download their hall tickets of LAT 2017 by entering their ‘Application Sequence Number’ and Date of Birth (DOB).

 

LAT Result 2017

 

Allahabad University, the conducting body of LAT 2017 will announce the result of LAT 2017 in last week of June 2017. The result of the LLB entrance exam will be made available in the form of score card. Once the results are declared, the conducting body will release the lust of shortlisted candidates who have been selected for the further round: Counselling.

 

LAT Cutoff 2017

 

The cutoff of LAT 2017 is released by Allahabad University after the entrance exam has been conducted. LAT cutoff 2017 is the minimum marks candidates need to score to make it to the next round. After which candidates will be selected for the next procedure i.e. Counselling depending on the marks scored by them. If a candidate does not meet the cutoff he/she will not be shortlisted for the next selection round.

 

LAT Counselling 2017

 

After the results of LAT 2017 will be declared, the conducting body i.e. the Allahabad University will release the merit list of the selected candidates for the counselling round. The LAT counselling 2017 is likely to be held in second week of July 2017. Selected candidates must bring along their admit card, requisite fee, images and the original and self attested xerox copies of all the important documents along with the LAT application form 2017.
