The Bar Council of India (BCI) will conduct the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 2025 on November 30, 2025. This exam is held offline across the country and will last for three hours. The AIBE exam will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Candidates will be permitted entry from 11:30 AM. The admit card has already been issued on the official website on November 15, 2025. Candidates must carry the printed admit card on the exam day. The answer key is expected to be released approximately one week after the exam. Candidates can contact the AIBE helpdesk in case of any discrepancy.

About AIBE 20 (XX) Exam

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 is a qualifying test organized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) for law graduates. Passing this exam is essential to legally practice law in India. AIBE 20 evaluates the fundamental skills of law graduates and establishes the minimum standards required to practice law. To be eligible for the AIBE, candidates must have completed either a 5-year LLB or a 3-year LLB degree. The AIBE is held in 40 cities throughout the country and is available in 11 different languages. The upcoming exam will have questions based on basic legal concepts covered in LLB courses. The BCI updated the AIBE syllabus and added three new law topics: the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.

AIBE 20 Important Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must follow the exam-day instructions to avoid disqualification.

  • Candidates must bring their printed AIBE admit card along with a government-issued photo ID to the examination center.

  • Candidates must report to the designated AIBE exam center by 11:30 AM.

  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the test center after 01:15 PM.

  • Bare Acts without any notes or comments are allowed to the examination center.

  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, bags, calculators, etc. are not permitted.

  • Candidates cannot leave the examination hall until the exam is over.

  • Only a blue or black ballpoint pen is permitted to mark the answers.

  • The question booklet set code, roll number, and other required information must be correctly filled out to avoid rejection.

  • Candidates will be barred from the exam if caught cheating or using unfair means.

This exam is conducted in offline mode, including 100 multiple-choice questions and has no negative marking. Students need to score at least 45 out of 100 questions and 40 for SC/ST candidates.
