The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the AIBE 21 final answer key 2026 on July 10, 2026, at 4 PM. The final answer key confirms that no questions have been withdrawn from the examination. Therefore, the AIBE XXI passing marks remain unchanged. General and OBC candidates must secure 45 marks out of 100 (45%). SC, ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates need 40 marks out of 100 (40%) to qualify.
Category | Qualifying Percentage | Passing Marks (Out of 100) |
General / OBC | 45% | 45 Marks |
SC / ST / Persons with Disability | 40% | 40 Marks |
Set | Q. No. | Provisional Key | Final Key | What changed |
A | 2 | C | C, D | Alternate answer D accepted |
A | 44 | C | B | Answer corrected to B |
B | 1 | D | C | Answer corrected to C |
B | 75 | D | C, D | Alternate answer C accepted |
C | 53 | B | C | Answer corrected to C |
C | 84 | A | A, C | Alternate answer C accepted |
D | 54 | D | C | Answer corrected to C |
D | 91 | A | A, D | Alternate answer D accepted |
The AIBE qualifying percentage is fixed at 45% for General and OBC candidates and 40% for SC, ST and PwD candidates. The AIBE cut-off or passing marks change only when the BCI withdraws one or more questions from the final answer key, as the total number of evaluated questions reduces.
In AIBE 21, however, no questions have been withdrawn. Although the BCI has revised and accepted alternate answers for a few questions across different sets, all 100 questions will be considered for evaluation. As a result, the AIBE passing marks 2026 remain 45 marks for General and OBC candidates and 40 marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates.
AIBE Exam | Total Questions Evaluated | General/OBC Passing % | General/OBC Passing Marks | SC/ST Passing % | SC/ST Passing Marks |
AIBE 21 | 100 | 45% | 45 | 40% | 40 |
AIBE 20 | 95* | 45% | 42.75 | 40% | 38 |
AIBE 19 | 93* | 45% | 42 | 40% | 37 |
AIBE 18 | 93* | 45% | 42 | 40% | 37 |
AIBE 17 | 98* | 40% | 39 | 35% | 34 |
AIBE 16 | 95** | 40% | 38 | 35% | 33 |
* Total evaluated questions were reduced after withdrawal of certain questions from the final answer key.
** AIBE 16 passing marks were announced as 38 and 33 marks, respectively, after final evaluation.
No. Withdrawn questions do not result in grace marks for all candidates. Instead, the BCI excludes such questions from the evaluation and recalculates the qualifying marks based on the revised number of valid questions.
However, the AIBE 21 final answer key does not withdraw any question. Therefore, there is no reduction in the total evaluated questions, and the examination will be assessed out of 100 marks. Candidates will qualify by securing the prescribed minimum marks of 45 (General/OBC) or 40 (SC/ST/PwD).
