KLEE Exam 2026 (3 & 5-year LLB): Exam Date, Application Form, Syllabus & Pattern, PYQs

CEE Kerala will open the KLEE 2026 application correction window tentatively in June 2026 for LLB and August 2026 for LLM programmes via the official CEE Kerala website. The application fee across all programmes is Rs 900 for General/SEBC candidates and Rs 450 for SC/ST category students.

How to fill the KLEE 2026 application form?

Filling up the KLEE 2026 application form is a five-stage process.

Step 1: Registration

• Registration is the first stage and is a one-time process

• Visit official website - cee.kerala.gov.in and select your law programme - 3-year LLB/5-year LLB/LLM

• Click on the new registration link

• The registration form will open

• Enter basic details such as name, mobile number and email id.

• Upon successful registration, an "application number’ will be created with an applicant account.

Step 2: Fill out the KLEE application form 2026

• Once registered, proceed to fill out the application form of KLEE 2026.

• The application form will ask for personal, contact, and educational qualification details which have to be duly filled.

• Fill out the information and click on “save and finalise”.

Step 3: Fee payment

Paying the application fee is the third step in the KLEE application process. Candidates can pay the application fee through online payment or e-challan.

Online payment

• Through this mode, one can pay the fee using a credit/ debit card or net banking.

E-challan

If the candidate wishes, they can also make the payment in offline mode using e-challan. 

• To make the payment using an e-challan, first take a printout of the e-challan by clicking on the ‘print e-challan’ option.

• With the printed challan, go to a post office in Kerala and make the payment in cash. During payment, you have to submit the e-challan with the requisite along with the fee amount in cash.

• Don't forget to collect the counterfoil of e-challan from the post office official.

• Once the payment is successfully done, ‘Pay Application Tab’ will turn green.

• If the payment tab doesn't turn green even after payment, candidates must inform the post office officials.

Step 4: Uploading of photograph and signature

Candidates are required to upload their photographs and signature along with the required documents which is the fourth step in the KLEE application process.

After completing the application submission and uploading the documents, candidates must take a printout of the application acknowledgement for future reference.

KLEE Reservation Policy for Admission

 *Seats under state merit will be on the basis of the state-wise merit list.

^SEBC category will include candidates belonging to Ezhava, Muslim, Other Backward Hindu, Latin Catholic and Anglo Indians, Dheevara, Viswakarma and other related communities.

KLEE 2026 5-year LLB Eligibility Criteria

Only such candidates who are of Kerala origin will be eligible for reservation.

CEE Kerala prescribes the KLEE 3-year LLB 2026 eligibility criteria on its official website. The KLEE 2026 eligibility criteria include the terms and conditions the candidate has to fulfil in order to be considered for admission.

KLEE Eligibility Criteria for 3-year LLB program 

The exam conducting authority releases the KLEE eligibility criteria 2026 for the LLM program containing the list of conditions one needs to fulfil for admission. Any candidate who doesn't meet the KLEE 2026 eligibility criteria, will not be considered for admission.

CEE, Thiruvananthapuram, prescribes the KLEE exam pattern 2026 for LLM program before the conduct of the exam. KLEE 2026 is conducted for admissions into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating colleges in Kerala. The CEE Kerala will issue the KLEE 2026 admit cards online through the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, typically one week before the examination. For the 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes, admit cards are tentatively expected in the last week of May 2026. For the LLM programme, the admit card is expected to be released in the third week of August 2026. Candidates are required to take a printout of the KLEE 2026 admit card and carry it to the exam hall. The admit card is a mandatory document and it contains information such as the roll number, exam venue, date and time of the exam and reporting time.

• Click on the download link

• Login using your registration id and password.

• The admit card will be appear on the screen

• Download and take a printout of the admit card.

Discrepancies in KLEE 2026 Admit Card

The candidate needs to check the accuracy of the details mentioned on the admit card, including the candidate's name, allotted exam centre, etc. If there is any discrepancy, one needs to get in touch with exam officials and get it rectified at the earliest.

List of Important Items To Be Carried During the Exam

Candidates appearing for KLEE 2026 should carry the following items to their exam centres.

• Copy of KLEE admit card 

• Valid photo ID proof

• Ballpoint pen

Following the conclusion of the examination, CEE Kerala will publish the KLEE 2026 provisional answer key on its official website. This document allows candidates to cross-verify their responses and estimate their scores before the official results are announced. For the 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes, the provisional key is typically released in June 2026, while the KLEE LLM 2026 answer key is expected in late August 2026. Candidates who identify discrepancies in the provisional key have the opportunity to raise formal objections through their candidate login portal. This process requires the submission of supporting documents and the payment of a prescribed objection fee of Rs 200 per question. If an objection is found to be valid by the expert committee, the fee for that specific question will be refunded to the candidate. After considering all grievances, the final KLEE 2026 answer key will be published which will serve as the basis for the final result and rank list.

How to Download KLEE 2026 Answer Key?

• Visit the official admission portal for Kerala Law Entrance Examination.

• Select the desired programme (5 yr L.L.B/ 3 yr L.L.B/ L.L.M) 

• Upon selecting the course, the answer key for the course will be displayed on-screen in downloadable PDF format

• Candidates can cross-check the answers from the answer key.

 KLEE Answer key – Filing Objections

• For any objection with the answer key of KLEE 2026, one can submit their complaints to CEE with requisite proof and payment of Rs. 100 per question for 3-year LLB and Rs. 200 for 5-year LLB programme (in case of KLEE LLM, Rs. 200 per question) payable by DD at Thiruvananthapuram in favour of CEE.

• The objections have to be filed before the last date.

• Authorities will release the final answer key after considering all the complaints.

The CEE Kerala will declare the KLEE 2026 results for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programmes tentatively in June 2026, approximately 15 to 20 days following the examination. For postgraduate aspirants, the KLEE LLM 2026 result is expected to be released in September 2026. Candidates can download the KLEE LLM results 2026 from the official CEE Kerala website using their login ID. The result of KLEE LLM 2026 will be declared as per the final answer key after considering all the valid objections.

• Visit the official KLEE website.

• Click on the desired programme for which the result has to be checked.

• A log-in window will open; enter your application number, password and security code.

• KLEE 2026 results will be displayed on the screen.

• Download and save the PDF file for future reference.

KLEE 2026 Rank List 

The course wise rank list is prepared based on scores obtained by candidates in KLEE 2026. Candidates who make it to the KLEE shortlist will be called to participate in the counselling and admission process. The seat allotment will be done based on the rank of the candidate and the college preferences given by them.

KLEE 2026 Tiebreaker

• In case of a tie in marks scored by the candidates in LLB, the candidate who has scored higher in 'Aptitude for Legal Studies' will get preference. If the tie still remains unbroken, the candidate scoring higher in 'English' will get a higher rank. If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will get a higher rank.

• In case of KLEE LLM, the candidate who has secured higher marks in Part A of the exam will be assigned a higher rank. if the tie persists, then the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

CEE Kerala will release the KLEE 2026 cutoffs at the time of seat allotment. The KLEE cut-off for 5-year LLB will be the last rank or minimum marks required for admission to a given law college.

CEE Kerala will release the KLEE 2026 cutoffs at the time of seat allotment. The KLEE cut off for 3-year LLB will be the last rank or minimum marks required for admission to a given law college. 

Candidates can meanwhile check the previous year KLEE cut off trends for various law colleges in order to get an idea about the expected cutoffs for the current year. After referring to the previous year cutoffs of KLEE, they can prepare themselves accordingly.

CEE Kerala will conduct the centralised KLEE 2026 counselling process online for shortlisted candidates. Candidates will be required to first complete web option filling to provide college choices for KLEE counselling 2026. CEE Kerala will publish the KLEE 2026 allotment list for each round of counselling based on the candidate's preferences and scores in the exam. The qualifying marks to be eligible for KLEE 2026 counselling is 10% for general and OBC candidates, and 5% for SC/ST candidates for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. There are no minimum qualifying marks mentioned for KLEE LLM.

• Login with your roll no, application number, and password. 

• Select courses and college options.

• Options have to be entered in the order of preferences.

• As final steps, candidates will have to pay the fees at the allotted college on the stipulated date to finalise their admissions.
