The NLSIU Bangalore was the first national law university (NLU) in India and was established in the year 1986. The NLSIU Bangalore declared the NLSAT 2024 exam results on May 3, 2024. The NLSIU Bangalore has been ranked at the top of the NIRF ranking from 2018 to 2023.

NLU Delhi was established in the year 2008 and this university is not a part of the Consortium. At NLU Delhi, the university does not accept the scores of the CLAT exam instead conducts and accepts the scores of the All India Law Entrance Test, (AILET).

At IIT Kharagpur, the institute offers a three-year LLB and an LLM programme. The institute conducted the IIT Kharagpur LLB admissions on March 17, 2024. Candidates must pass the bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine or a minimum of 60% marks for a seat in the three-year LLB programme.
