The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is conducted to award Certificate of Practice to aspiring lawyers to practise law in India. The AIBE 20 exam 2025 is scheduled to be held on November 30, 2025 from 1 pm to 4 pm. The Bar Council of India prescribed the AIBE 20 (XX) 2025 exam day guidelines and instructions on the admit card of AIBE 2025. Before appearing for AIBE 20 (XX) 2025, candidates are advised to read the AIBE 20 instructions mentioned in the hall ticket. Earlier, BCI issued the AIBE 2025 admit card on November 15, 2025 to candidates who have completed the registration process. The All India Bar Examination is not an open-book exam.
During the exam, candidates cannot bring textbooks or study materials into the exam hall. However, certain items will still be allowed in the exam. Notably, candidates are allowed to carry Bare Acts to the AIBE XX exam centre. Candidates can find the details on the AIBE 20 (XX) exam day guidelines 2025 and important instructions mentioned in the admit card.
Candidates are required to carry AIBE 20 (XX) 2025 admit card along with Govt. issued one Photo ID proof to their respective exam centre. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to enter the AIBE 20 exam centre.
The candidate is advised to visit the exam centre at least one day in advance so that she/ he can reach the exam centre on the date of the examination in time.
Candidates should report at their respective examination centres by 11:30 am.
Candidates will not be allowed to enter the Examination centre after 1:15 pm.
Candidates are allowed to carry only BARE ACTS (without notes and comments) inside the examination centre.
Mobile phones, digital/ smart watch, bag, handbag, calculator, electronic gadgets/ equipment, papers, books, notes (except BARE ACTS without notes and comments) etc., are strictly not allowed inside the exam centre. Any candidate found using or in possession of such unauthorised material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair means is liable to be summarily disqualified.
Candidates shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the examination and without handing over the answer sheet.
All markings on the answer sheet must be made with a blue/ black ballpoint pen only. Using a pencil for marking on the answer sheet will lead to the disqualification of the exam.
Candidates should enter the roll number on the answer sheet as it is mentioned on the admit card and fill in the respective ovals. Any mismatch would lead to disqualification.
Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as mentioned on the test booklet cover.
Candidates should fill in the Question Booklet Set Code and Roll Number and all other necessary information correctly on the answer sheet. Any errors or omissions in these entries will lead to the direct rejection of the answer sheet.
In case of more than 40% disability, 20 minutes extra time per hour will be allowed to the candidate. Kindly submit a certified copy of your disability certificate to the invigilator to avail the extra time.
In case of any disability, which prevents a candidate from writing the exam himself/ herself (blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected - BA) and cerebral palsy), then the scribe should preferably be a class 10th or 12th student (not from humanities with political Science/ Legal Studies) and such scribe should be required to carry school identity card, age and address proof viz Aadhar Card. No scribe shall be provided by the Examination Centre. The qualification of the scribe should preferably be at least one step below of the qualification of the candidate taking the examination and should in no way be connected with humanities subjects like Political Science/legal studies, and should not be below matriculate.
The candidature to the examination is provisional. Only those candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria should appear in the exam. If at any stage it is found that you are not eligible for the All India Bar Examination, your candidature will be rejected.
Candidates found cheating/ resorting to unfair means by the invigilators should ordinarily be debarred from taking the exam.
Note: The All India Bar Examination is being held since the year 2010. It is mandatory for every newly enrolled Advocate to clear within 2 years of enrollment, failing which, he/she cannot further continue in practice till the time he/she clears the exam. It is a mandatory requirement to continue in practice.

The All India Bar Examination (AIBE 2025) will be held in a single day. Candidates are required to report to the exam centre at the time mentioned on the hall ticket. Candidates are advised to visit the AIBE 20 exam centre at least one day in advance to ensure they can reach the exam centre on the date of the exam in time. However, they must report to the AIBE 20 test centre 2025 at least one hour before the commencement of the AIBE 20 exam 2025. The AIBE XX (20) exam timing is 1 pm to 4 pm. The entry to the exam centre will start at 11:30 am. By reaching the examination centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam, one can avoid the last-minute rush and appear in the exam.

The AIBE(All India Bar Examination) is conducted only for law graduate students to get a certificate for Practice to practice law in court in India. This exam is conducted in offline mode, including 100 multiple-choice questions and has no negative marking. Students need to score at least 45 out of 100 questions and 40 for SC/ST candidates.
The registration for this exam has officially closed for the 2025 exam session.
