National Law School of India University Bengaluru (NLSIU Bengaluru) has declared the NLSAT 2024 result on May 3, 2024. The university had conducted NLSAT 2024 on March 17, 2024. Earlier, the NLSAT application form 2024 was clsoed on February 28, 2024. The academic year for NLSIU Bangalore 3-year LLB will commence from July 1, 2024.
NLSIU Bengaluru conducts the National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT) for admissions into its three-year LLB course. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can submit the NLSAT 2024 application form in online mode. The application registration can be done from the official website - admissions.nls.ac.in. NLSAT exam 2024 is a national level offline law entrance test which will be held at exam centres across India. Any candidate aspiring to enrol for 3-year LLB at NLSIU Bengaluru is required to necessarily appear for the NLSAT-LLB. NLSIU Bengaluru is the top law school as per the NIRF law rankings 2023 and is one among the few NLUs which offer three-year LLB courses. It is offering the LLB course from 2022 onwards.
NLSAT 3-year LLB is an offline examination held across India. The NLSAT 2024 syllabus consists of two parts within the same question paper - Part A and Part B. Candidates are required to attempt both parts of the NLSAT exam in order to be considered for admission. While Part A is an objective type section, Part B consists of descriptive questions. Candidates will be allowed a time of 150 minutes to attempt the NLSAT exam.
Part A will have questions from reading comprehension, current affairs and critical reasoning. On the other hand Part B will have descriptive questions on legal aptitude/reasoning and analytical ability. Candidates must separately qualify in both the parts and also have a good score in aggregate to make it to the top of the merit list.
Part B will be evaluated only for those candidates who qualify in Part A. Only those candidates who are successful in both the parts will be eligible for admission. Evaluation will be done in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. five eligible candidates for every available seat. Candidates from general and EWS categories are required to obtain a score of 75 percentile in both Part A and Part B in order qualify in the individual sections, while SC, ST, and OBC candidates must have a score of 50 percentile.
Other than 3-year LLB, NLSIU Bengaluru also offers BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes. The admission to these two programmes is done on the basis of CLAT UG and CLAT PG respectively. The Consortium of National Law Universities conducted the CLAT 2024 on December 3, 2023.

Candidates have to pay the stipulated application fee for NLSAT-LLB 2024 in order to complete the registration. General category candidates will be required to pay Rs 2500 as NLSAT application fee at the time of registration. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD categories will be required to pay Rs 2000 as application fee.
There are a total of 120 seats available for the 3-year LLB course at NLSIU Bengaluru. The seats are allocated to candidates from different categories as per the reservation policy followed by the institute. The table given below describes the reservation policy of NLSIU Bengaluru.

Candidates who wish to enrol for the 3 year LLB course at NLSIU Bengaluru must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute. As shown in the above table, the applicant must be a graduate in any discipline to be eligible to apply. Final year students are also eligible to apply provided that they submit their qualifying certificate at the time of admission. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% in aggregate in the qualifying exam if they are from general category and 40% in case they belong to SC/ST/OBC categories.

The syllabus of NLSAT 2024 consists of the objective Part A and the descriptive Part B. Part A will consist of multiple choice questions concerning reading comprehension, current affairs, and critical reasoning. This section would be for a total of 75 marks.
Part B is the descriptive section that will consist of two sub sections namely legal aptitude for 60 marks and analytical ability for 15 marks.
The legal aptitude section consists of problem based questions where candidates will be required to write short answers of around 300-350 words. There will be 6 questions of 10 marks each in this section. The analytical ability section will require the candidates to write an essay in about 500 words that will test the student’s ability to form logical arguments and write a well structured essay.

The NLSAT 2024 answer key will be released soon after the examination on the official website of NLSIU Bengaluru. The answer key will help candidates evaluate their performance in the exam by comparing their answers with those mentioned in the NLSAT-LLB answer key.

NLSIU Bengaluru has declared NLSAT 2024 result in online mode on May 3, 2024. Candidates will be able to access the result by signing in with their login credentials. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of cumulative scores in both Part A and Part B of the NLSAT-LLB.
Candidates must qualify in the individual sections as per the laid down passing criteria and also obtain a good aggregate score to emerge on top in the admissions process. The merit listed candidates would then be called to complete the admission formalities and report for classes.
The selection procedure of NLSIU Bengaluru is a two stage process. Candidates have to separately qualify in the two parts of NLSAT 2024 paper.
For Part A candidates from general and EWS category are required to obtain a score above the 75th percentile while candidates from SC, ST and OBC categories are required to obtain a score above the 50th percentile. Only candidates who obtain the above mentioned percentile will only be eligible for evaluation of their Part B answers. Candidates must also have obtained a non-zero score in order to be considered for evaluation of Part B.
From among the eligible candidates for evaluation of the descriptive section, candidates will be selected for evaluation in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. 5 candidates for every available seat. C

Just like in Part A, candidates from general and EWS category must score above the 75th percentile while candidates from SC, ST and OBC categories are required to obtain a score above the 50th percentile to qualify in this section.
Candidates who are successful in both Part A and Part B will be eligible for admission for the 3-year LLB course. NLSIU Bengaluru will publish a merit list of candidates based on the cumulative scores in both parts of the NLSAT-LLB question paper.
The NLSIU Bangalore's 3-year LLB fee is Rs. 375500 p.a. for the general category. For SC/ST category, the course fee is Rs. 3,71,500 p.a.
