National Law School Admissions Test 2024 - Exam Details

NLSAT 3-year LLB is an offline examination held across India. The NLSAT 2024 syllabus consists of two parts within the same question paper - Part A and Part B. Candidates are required to attempt both parts of the NLSAT exam in order to be considered for admission. While Part A is an objective type section, Part B consists of descriptive questions. Candidates will be allowed a time of 150 minutes to attempt the NLSAT exam.

Part A will have questions from reading comprehension, current affairs and critical reasoning. On the other hand Part B will have descriptive questions on legal aptitude/reasoning and analytical ability. Candidates must separately qualify in both the parts and also have a good score in aggregate to make it to the top of the merit list.

Part B will be evaluated only for those candidates who qualify in Part A. Only those candidates who are successful in both the parts will be eligible for admission. Evaluation will be done in the ratio of 1:5 i.e. five eligible candidates for every available seat. Candidates from general and EWS categories are required to obtain a score of 75 percentile in both Part A and Part B in order qualify in the individual sections, while SC, ST, and OBC candidates must have a score of 50 percentile.
