AIBE 19 Attendance: The RTI data shows that around 2.36 lakh candidates had registered for AIBE 19. This number is significantly higher than in AIBE 18, where 1.48 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. This increase is likely due to the revised AIBE elibiltiy criteria under which final year law students and candidates without an enrolment certificate are allowed to register for the bar exam.
Out of the 236403 candidates who registered for the exam, 229843 had appeared for the exam, taking the attendance ratio to 97.2%. Among the candidates who appeared, a major proportion of the candidates belong to the general and OBC categories - around 82%. The rest 18% belong to SC and ST categories.
AIBE 19 Pass Percentage: The overall AIBE 19 pass percentage is around 77%, which is significantly higher than the AIBE pass percentage of 48% seen in AIBE 18. The category-wise pass percentage is almost similar, 77.35% for general/OBC and 76.84% for SC/ST.

No, a person cannot practice law in India without passing the All-India Bar Examination (AIBE). After completing an LLB degree from a recognized university, a law graduate must enroll with a State Bar Council and must clear the AIBE exam conducted by the Bar Council of India. Only after passing the exam, the advocate receives a Certificate of Practice , which allows him or her to practice law in any court in India.
So, without clearing AIBE, one cannot legally appear or argue in court.
Tip - Prepare well and be a successful lawyer.
