Solving CLAT Mock Test 2020 on a Regular Basis

A foolproof way to crack CLAT 2020 is to practice a copious number of mock tests. Sufficient practice helps candidates to get habituated to the paper pattern and difficulty level and the concepts covered in the test. This pays off candidates in various ways as it helps them to increase in attempting speed and strengthen their concepts.

For the initial two months, candidates can start off with solving at least CLAT 2020 mock test while preparing for CLAT. Once candidates arrive at the third month, they should increase the number to twenty-thirty each week while revising the syllabus as well to attain success in CLAT.

Staying up to Date on Current Affairs

While candidates revise the CLAT syllabus 2020 and static GK section in the last few months, candidates should simultaneously update themselves on the current affairs. They should make it a habit to read newspapers daily and various general knowledge books mentioned above during CLAT preparation. As internet is a repository for news and the latest information, candidates can also make use of the internet to catch up with the current affairs to prepare for CLAT 2019.

Section-wise Preparation

During their preparation for CLAT 2020, candidates should focus on strengthening each section of the entrance test. However, it is recommended that if there are certain sections which candidates cannot bring themselves to master, they should not spend much time on them while preparing for CLAT 2020. Instead, they should work on bettering their stronger areas.

Since candidates who are just out of school may not have much idea about the legal section. Apart from brushing the basics with the help of the expert recommended books, candidates may strengthen their legal section further by practicing adequate number of mock tests and analyzing the legal section. A good way to give their preparation for legal aptitude an extra edge will be to familiarize themselves with legal maxims .

Experts recommendation for section wise preparation for CLAT 2020

Prof. Hema Raman, Director, Sri Ram Law Academy, says, “For English, one should focus on grammar and vocabulary. For Maths, all elementary chapters such as Time and Distance, Time & Work, Profit & Loss etc., are important. For GK, both current affairs as well as static GK deserve attention. For Logical Reasoning, one should focus on critical reasoning and for Legal Aptitude; the focus should be on legal reasoning problems.” Furthermore, she says, “It’s smart to prepare for CLAT in a systematic manner. CLAT aspirants need to have a clear concept of all the sections, know the question pattern and focus on necessary components of the law entrance exam.”

How to get Success in CLAT 2020 - General Preparation Tips

  • Rajendra Khadav, Director of CrackCLAT Tutorials says, “I would suggest CLAT aspirants go for a routine study of 8-9 hours daily. However, the study hours may differ for different candidates..Relaxing in between the study hours is essential as it helps your brain to memorize and revise the last round of study.”

  • As candidates may be aware that their preparation for CLAT 2019 and for class 12th boards examinations will overlap, this could turn out to be a tough situation handle for candidates. Experts recommend that a well-drawn out strategy comes to a candidate’s rescue in such situations. Prof. Hema Raman, Director, Sri Ram Law Academy, opines, “Aspirants appearing for the first time will have only one month’s time after their boards so they need to strategize their preparation at the earliest.”

  • To attain success in CLAT 2019, it is important for candidates to devise a time-table and organize the entire syllabus and mock test sessions within that time-table. Candidates should remember that they should be particular about fulfilling daily agendas to cover the monthly time-tables.

  • After solving mock tests while preparing for CLAT 2019, candidates should analyze their performance and attempting trends so that they can devise time management and exam day strategies which they can apply on the day of the exam.

  • One of the main aims of candidates while solving mock tests should be to increase their speed while maintaining accuracy intact. As Amit Poddar, CLAT expert from T.I.M.E Coaching advises, “The CLAT 2019 aspirants need to focus on time management and attempt accuracy. When it comes to attempting 200 questions in 200 minutes in an offline exam, time management is the most crucial point which should be taken care of. The candidates should strategize their attempt plan in accordance with the subjects. The CLAT aspirants should attempt the questions section-wise depending upon their question-type. However, the strategy of each test taker will vary.”

How to get Success in CLAT 2020 - Last week Preparation Tips

  • Candidates should reserve the last week for solving mock tests to prepare for CLAT 2020. Rather than trying out new things, candidates should only focus on bettering their existing preparation by solving mock tests.

  • Nevertheless, along with the mock tests, candidates should keep a tab on the current affairs during the last week as well.

How to get Success in CLAT 2020 - Last Day Preparation Tips

  • The foremost last day preparation tip for CLAT 2020 is that candidates should shouldn't allow worries to cloud their minds. They should have faith in their preparations and remain confident throughout.

  • Also, don't read any new stuff on this day, as it will only put your mind under unwelcome pressure. Candidates should only focus on the areas or sections that they have studied thoroughly.

  • If the candidate can adjust a mock test or two on the last day so that their grip on the subject remains intact is a good idea. A quick look into the current affairs and general knowledge will suffice for the last day.

  • Make sure that you get enough sleep before the day of the exam so that your mind is fresh and active on the day of the exam.

  • Also, candidates should arrange their stationery material, admit card, and valid identity proof, and other exam essentials on the day before the exam so that they avoid unnecessary hassles and getting late on the day of the exam.

  • Follow the above instructions and also the ones mentioned in the admit card of CLAT 2020. Candidates should remember that along with their preparation, what also matters in success in CLAT 2020 is their adherence to exam day instructions.
