The Ministry of Education is expected to release the final report of the much-anticipated National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025. The report is published for various disciplines of higher education, including Law, Engineering, Medical and MBA colleges. These reports are usually published in July-August every year. In the legal education segment, NIRF ranked 40 law schools last year, with NLSIU Bengaluru, NLU Delhi and NALSAR Hyderabad holding the top three positions. While the rankings for this year will be published soon, the relevant data have been submitted by the law schools.

The median salary of LLB graduates increased from Rs. 14 LPA to Rs. 18 LPA. Out of 83 students admitted in 2019-20, 75 graduated in 2023-24, with 65 getting placed and 10 pursuing higher studies, the report shows. The NLU placement percentage stood at 94.20%. It is largely consistent with 94.52% achieved in the previous graduating batch in 2022-23, and significantly higher than 70% in 2021-22.
